Cooked premiered on the ABC (Australia) in 2021, and we're honoured to release it to our audience at Grouse House.
Director's Statement (Jake Duczynski):
Cooked...is told from a collective Indigenous perspective. It doesn’t care for Cook’s famous story, but instead the residual legacy of the crown in the form of a curse. Cooked holds the mirror up and forces us to look.

Interesting series that's definitely trying to say a lot. Even as a non-Australian, while I don't fully understand some of the more specific cultural details, the overall concept still comes across.

American here, we struggle with similar issues with racism and dark history and the rise of white nationalism. This show has been very uplifting, helps shed some light on a sensitive issue and gives up hope for a better future.

I'm kinda done with cartoons trying to be edgy, poignant and funny at the same time. Even my 16 year old niece said this is corny... And she's got terrible taste !😂 I hope the ending of this show means this channel can get back to posting some funny content.

Sounds like you'd enjoy Minions. Satire is probably the best part of comedy imo, and I wouldn't expect them to just stop because a child said it wasn't cool enough. 😅 Maybe I'm desensitized, but this isn't very edgy. They swore and killed a few people: if that bothers you, this probably isn't the right channel for you.
