This is to me the hardest Cuphead Challenge with getting all S-Ranks with 2 players. Very impressive.

Phase 4 is even more insane when you realize that parrying the heart doesn't actually damage it; you have to hit it when the heart isn't pink for it to count.

I don't think that's true- I haven't checked but maybe it is and that why it took so long- but I thought about this. i think it still does damage

@@SamTheGrouchThe whetstone does 16 damage per hit and Phase 4 has 255 health. 255 / 16 = 15.9375 (rounding up to 16), and he hits the heart 16 times when it's not pink. The damage doesn't apply when it's pink, otherwise he would have beaten it a lot faster.

I just love this charm, there is just so much to it that mastering it is fun. The melee range forces you into tougher positions be in the midst of fire. It neutralizes many minions, good for most Run n' Guns and lets you keep focusing on the boss even if they summon minions. The parry's bounce is both a blessing and a curse: You'll have to factor in the extra height/air time so you don't throw yourself into danger. You can cancel the bounce height by dashing, but that won't work if it just throws into a different attack. But you can also exploit those minions/certain attacks/bosses for extra mobility that the normal parry can't give you. Overall, even though Cuphead's bosses do a nice job of making you move around, but the only other weapons that urged you to move are spread shot, sorta lobber/twist-up and kinda crackshot. Honestly I'm so in love with this charm that I wish that there was another cuphead game or mod or something with whetstone added into to the default moveset.

The Whetstone takes a lot longer to kill bosses. Even if it is cutting edge. Plus everytime I see this boss, I keep imagining the bottom pepper shakers breaking Saltbaker's teeth and on the final phase, his heart shattering to bits. In other words, his heart literally breaking.

I have never heard the OST in the fourth phase play that long ingame, let alone loop. Usually cause most players finish it faster with chaser or crackshot.

Hi Jossue, there were so many attempts that I lost count XD. there were many days where I didn't see any progress in the challenge, many times I thought about giving up, but in the end with patience and a lot of luck I managed to complete this challenge :)
