I can't tell you how many things I've found in the trash right when I needed them! One of the best examples is this: One day we needed A bag of Cane Sugar for baking, and we're on our way to the store to get it, and I check the Wallgreenz dumpster beforehand to find none other than, low and behold, A bag of cane sugar! That's the dictionary definition of "The Universe Provides"!

Amen! Happy you are feeling better. I had a car that the metal part that the door closes onto broke. I had to tie the door closed with the seat belt, it would not close because there was nothing to close against. Took it to the dealer and they couldn't believe it broke. Hope your door handles gets fixed. many blessings and prayers for you. =)

I don't get to scavenge much, but during work I have to drive hours around the California deserts, so when I see stuff I go back for it when I don't have passengers. This week I picked up 2 grow lights w/cords, a mini fridge w/cord (not working), 2 scoop shovels, a 4x4x12f broken aluminum marker pole, 2 small tarps & a great quilted moving pad. Last month I found 2 12x70 heavy duty dark tarps. I listed them locally & got $100 for them. Great price for someone short on $ and good for me when all I had to do was stuff them in the van. You keep going strong. Enjoy your videos. And I got the BBQ sauce reference lol.

Just a thought it's up to you of course but when you get the ironing boards - the material and foam can easily be taken off and thrown in bin leaving just the metal. I dunno if you've thought of it or if it's just another step to remember but I think of it every time I see you pick one up and thought i'd finally mention it.

Hi Paul. I’m still in rehab with my r. Shoulder surgery. I went to dr. this past Wednesday and he said I could start doing some r.o.m. On my shoulder. Rom stands for range of motion. Any how I still have to wear my sling for 4 more weeks, however, I can take it off to shower and change my clothes and for my exercises. Which is better than what he told me after surgery. He said then no exercise for 4 weeks and now I can start doing some. Take care and I hope you can get your door handle fixed and that it doesn’t cost too much. Take care and God Bless. P.s. I might be able to go home at the end of next week…hip hip hooray………..

I wanted a cool place to be outside the house today so I wandered around inside of a big box store for a couple of hours and on the way home I picked a tower fan from the trash, crossing the street I looked at the fan and the breeze had it turning. I got home plugged it in and it works just fine although I thought it would, it is cheap and noisy but it is ok where it sits now is in the same room I watch KZfaq so with the ear buds it is mind over matter and I don't mind so it doesn't matter if it is making some noise.

Sometimes, Paul, I wish that someone would post a video or a commercial ad showing all the good donateable items like those chairs and other pieces of furniture and other items that you've been finding at the curb. My mom would call that almost criminal to toss that stuff away without giving it to someone who needs it. I'm glad that you and other scrappers are stepping up and not just scrapping stuff but donating or reselling it. I just had to vent especially when I see toys, clothes, furniture and other useable items being set outside for the G-man.
