Ikr? They couldve just transform them into a cure already by their body just glowing and all the stuff on it but i guess the designs are so formal and basic that they dont care about the details and get on with it, i do like extra time here hair transform tho!

I think part of it is CG but there are also traditional parts here. I dont think its not ENTIRELY CG or Hand-drawn@@TimothyCHenderson

@@tangytablets5150 It's all CG, that's why it's so smooth. The problem is the video quality is poor during the transformation so it's harder to tell. They've advanced the technic significantly since Happiness Charge and Go! Princess. I knew it was coming eventually, I just didn't know when.

@@TimothyCHenderson I highly doubt all of it is CG. If it was, that would be the most convincing 2D-like rendering. I dont think CG could be that dynamic unless they are a dedicated CG company like Orange Studio, especially the way the hair and clothes move. Compare it to the ending song visuals and you can see the squash and stretch of the skirts and the movement of the hair still have that mild stiffness that youll see in the in-house CG models.

@@tangytablets5150 I'll have to wait for a better upload. There's no keyframes and no difference between movement and gesture across each transformation that would indicate hand drawn from the key animator. You can visibly see the difference in how characters move in other seasons, how their features are drawn, the line quality, the gesture, etc (you can see the hand of the artist). Each of this seasons transformation animations are uniform. Granted, it's significantly better than their previous attempts. Toei has been experimenting with CG for quite some time. It wouldn't surprise me if they've finally made decent advancement after trying for over a decade to make it work.
