You’re actually supposed to use it in the shower on soaking wet hair adding more and more water as you go. Its a botanical gel they’re concentrated and require lots of water

It just needs moisture, use the scalp sure dry weightless leave in and the hydro jelly. Trust me much more moisture and definition and slip.

You complained about a hard gel being a hard gel. For curl and coily hair on the bottle. Their products are lebeled with suggestions by hair type.

with hard gels, many of them stay pliable for a small window of time before they dry. I used this in the shower and it seemed to “freeze” my hair almost immediately. I actually searched this video as I thought I got a bad bottle or was using the product wrong. I would never say what doesn’t work for me , won’t work for someone else, Was just my experience with the product.

I bought mine two years ago when Ulta had curlsmith on sale for Black Friday. I used with the Hold Me Softly Style Balm. Same results. Made my strands hard stringy with no definition my curls looked like overcooked noodles.

I don’t know if I have seen people just using the product alone… I’m very surprised you experienced those issues. I have not tried but this product, but I just got it & will be using it this coming Sunday (wash day) I will be using their Weightless Air Dry cream (leave in conditioner) & see how that goes! 🤞🏽 BTW LOVE LOVE your hair!!!! 😍😍😍😍

I’ve used it with the some leave in and Curlsmith Style Balm and I had a similar problem with styling. They also advise to use straight in the shower so I tried it this time and 😳😳😳😳 The devastation! Maybe it’s better for finer hair textures, this hair of mine needs all the moisture! Thank you! Please let me know how your results come out with that combo, I’m very interested!

Yeah proper moisture will be ensured once you once and condition the hair then use this product alone. It’s not meant to be used with a leave in. Then try seeing if that’s what the issue may have been

I feel like u are the only KZfaq that gave an honest review. I have 3a/3b low density normal to high porosity and this product was horrible. First the smell set my sinuses off. Horrible smell. It was dry and hard to use. Exactly what u said. Its a no for me too

Same here . Used it in the shower and it felt awful. Like diluted glue. I got it in the sale section of TJ maxx. Would give this product away - hate to toss it but it left my hair feeling stripped and stiff
