Nick Rattigan is the visual artist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter behind yelpy, post-punk inflected indie bands Surf Curse and Current Joys. He created Current Joys as a way to unify his mutual love for film and music, and subsequently directed multiple music videos for the project. The grimy, thunderous songs themselves exist to free Rattigan from generalized anxiety as they embody the cyclical entrapment of the disorder while offering catharsis for those who share his experience.

Bitácora espacial, mayo, acabo de crear un nuevo diario en un comentario de una canción. Han pasado cosas extrañas, ya nadie sale a las calles, la gente teme, pero la música ayuda muchas veces. when i see sick and hungry children in africa i cry and feel bad, when i see poor homeles old people in my city i feel sad, depressed... some time its like i feel all the pain in world... so in my young years i start to self-medicate with alcohol and drugs, and then after few years i meet heroin, i was knowing its bad path to go but i just go, and I was not alone in that, some of my best freinds die, endup in jail or just go missing, some find way out and become good persons... and I destroyed everything that could be destroyed, now my son is 1500km from me, and i love him...
