@chrlzcs pretty sure curry did alot for his time in C9 and proved that he can still compete at the highest level to people. Hell he even has a masters buddy as a registered 6th man but ik it doesn't really count. All I'm saying is that the man can do it if he really wanted too but i think he is prioritising his streaming more for the money. Better than people like BabyJ wasting time trying get a T1 team with no proof he deserves it.

not really to an extent. if you're getting a massive amount of money to professionally play a game 24/7 you would hope they have above average aim amongst immo+ players. notice how all the good teams right now have an igl that can actually aim? ex: johnqt, munchkin, boo, boostio, valyn, and even saadhak. 6/6 these igls have been in grand finals regionally or internationally. Im not saying aiming at a high level is ALWAYS required, but there seems to be a trend in valorant's current state. igls like: redgar, boaster, vanity ( i dont want to say fns because NRG just got reformed, but he is one of those "lower tier" aimers) are all doing bad or not as good as before. Valorants state right now is slowly turning into a game where everyone needs to have top tier mechanics in order to truly stay at the top not just your sentinel or duelist.

I digress though there’s no doubt some pros and radiants who are just on another level mechanically but I think everyone is shooting at a similar level immortal and above. What separates the divisions of play are game sense and things related to that.

currys take implied that all pros have the same goal of being a demon in ranked so the ones that have a bad tracker are shit in real matches like what??? ranked stats literally do not matter. his winrate and kd are low while his hs % is crazy high which means hes not trying to be a killing machine. he definitely has other goals in mind than just killing randoms in ranked. plus there are so many more productive things a pro can do than "play ranked to get better mechanics".

yeah like playing less than 70 matches in ranked is not "grinding" like some pros or streamers do. He's spending more time in scrims or the server probably. Reminds me of the people who put links to their tracker in the comments section of a valorant coach video and ask what they can improve on. Redgar's time may possibly come to a end soon, but taking the ranked stats is odd...? i'm pretty sure its a known fact scrims are more essential and valuable, but these aren't public stats so we can't tell for sure. the idea that a good k/d in radiant should be the highlight is not useful, as players in VCT doesn't play like ranked anyways.

I feel like maybe in this case he prioritises scrimimg with his team. I mean im not sure what we know how much the team scrims but maybe he just feels like aim training at range or deathmatch then scriming with his team to build that chem up is better compared than mindless people in rank. This would have been a horrible take in the previous seasons but I think curry is right. I hate the guy for his smurfing content but he's not all wrong in this aspect, I believe. Take a look at the last 3 VCT international winner IGLs. Boostio, JohnQT, Munchkin, they're all shooters and have clutched rounds again and again. The meta has shifted, you need shooter IGLs in your team because teams are learning to be more strategically solid every day. The gap in tactical quality is so small that it's a liability to have to play 4v5 as your IGL can't frag out. No disrespect to FNS, Redgar and Boaster, but I think they need to up their shooting game while they're outplaying their opponents strategically.

Exactly. Same with cs, both these games got their metas shifted to shooter IGLs. Last cs trophies were won by NiKo IGLing while still having like 1.15 rating, siuhy having 1.0+ rating, chopper and AleksiB also winning a lot of important rounds for their teams. HooXi can't win having 0.7 rating in pro play, same with Redgar. Not shitting on him, I did like the time he was in Gambit, but the game has changed and he got worse over time. During his time in Liquid he was constantly one of the worst players on the team. I mean, there's always a room to improve, and if he's not even trying to outplay ranked players mechanically, then it's kinda sad tbh. Especially considering the fact that in ranked, when duoing or playing solo, you don't get pro players on your team, you get basic players that can be bad sometimes, so you need to frag too. Testing omen tps won't help you to win a trophy more than improving mechanical skills.

Horrible take. This is honestly just Curry glorifying his ego for the 6758th time. Even in Immortal 3 lobbies, you'd personally find it STILL SURPRISINGLY HORRIBLE that you got teammates that DONT CARE MUCH AT ALL. Whether it be win/lose OR having High vs Low stats in a random rank game even in the highest of ranked lobbies. This is why Curry's ego has always been incredibly inflated this way.. Nontheless he basically just points out that: "I'm better than VCT Players! look at my stats compared to this guy" Just because he's overly-competitive in ranked lobbies queued as RANDOMS doesn't mean he's also capable of winning a VCT trophy in a team-heavy environment. Comparing Rank vs Pro Play Stage is just one of those dumb takes someone says out of desperation.

Absolute horrendous take. We are not in COD, buddy; plus, doesn't a high headshot percentage mean reasonable, though. Yes, he is at the bottom of the leaderboard, but he plays the support player role, which is the most essential part of the game. It is a whole team game, not a one-person army. You are saying it is unacceptable, but he has won an international league, and you haven't. He is at 1 KD, and that's good; the one below should be a problem. Usually, you have good takes, but I have yet to learn how you consider KD to be the essential point for one's success. PRX has all players with high KD. They have yet to win a single VCT international lan, so I don't know what that means then; high stats can only get you so far.

KD and ranked stats is not the thing you should look at, it's such a bad take, because in the pro scene, there is much more into aim and mechanics. But Redgar, being in a top team, in fact, should try to improve his mechanics, because his vct stats are horrendously bad, so is FNS. It can be improved, last time prx mindfreak was also having that aim issue, but after he improved, prx become the top team automatically

Pro players play ranked to chill. Most LEC* Players stopped playing Ranked seriously cause it mostly worsens their mechanics and ranked players flame them just mike curry did. Why everyone so mad? Everyone is missing the point here, he's just saying that in pro play IGL's have shit kd due to them calling, but if they have shit kd even in ranked their mechanics are just poor, and that's something that they can just work on to increases the chances of them winning in pro play. Like they aren't just supposed to work on their igl bullshit when they can simply kill more guys in pro play.
