Curry Goat | Taste of Trini

In this video, Batman shares his EPIC recipe for Curry Goat. I'm not a goat lover, but this tasted amazing!
Here's what you need:
3 lbs of Goat, cleaned and washed with lime/lemon/vinegar
1 cup of Green Seasoning
Salt + Black Pepper
2 tablespoons Duck and Goat Curry
2 tablespoons of your favourite Curry
1 tablespoon Black Amchar Massala
1 tablespoon Roasted Ground Geera
Hot Peppers, chopped
1 Onion, sliced
10-12 cloves of Garlic, minced
1 tablespoon of Oil
1 teaspoon of Cumin/Geera seeds
6-8 Curry/Karapillay leaves
2-4 cups of boiling water

Very true Jamaicans are always criticising other people and act as though they are the only ones who know how to cook. Caribbean people cook good food, l like cooking dishes from other Islands.

Goat curry looks delicious, reminds me of back home(Bangladesh). I visited Trinidad in 2011. People were very friendly and down to earth. I had a good time.

Tasty curry goat, cooked tender in an hour is an achievement. Usually takes one and three quarters. Serve with rice or dhal pouris or paratha roti. Well done !

We have a similar "curry goat" in Guadeloupe, that we call "Colombo à cabri", cabri is a kind of goat. It is my favorite dish. Guadeloupe has the largest Indian community in the Caribbean just after Trinidad. It's the reason why we love so much colombo (with goat, chicken, crab ). Colombo is the national dish of Guadeloupe. Caribbean food is the best of the world.

Jamaicans have their own way of cooking curry goat. And I think every Island have their way of doing things also. As a Jamaican most of us grow up with the goats around from they were born until ready to be slaughtered. The next thing is you will never see a wedding, party or funeral without curry goat. So I have helped my father from herding, slaughtering to the cooking. I give credit to these two persons from Trinis for what they are doing. My wife is Bajan and most Bajan grew up eating sheep. If you can get a Bajan to eat your curry goat then you have a slam dunk.

Hi there, You can also use a pressure cooker to cook goat meat and it's done in half hour to forty five minutes. Depends on how much meat you're cooking.
