I always wondered over the years what became of him after watching the Imagine documentary as a kid. I loved how compassionate John was towards him and tried to understand what was going on in his head. He was a good looking guy and apparently highly intelligent, so to read of his descent into drug abuse and his untimely death at only 32 was very sad.

In my opinion, this is not Curt. But that is a debate for another day. John was so eloquent here, as he always was after he left the Rolling Stones lol. You can think whatever you like about Yoko but she helped him open his mind and embrace himself. Of course, he said many things that he maybe regretted but she taught him to own his mistakes and learn from them. We could argue back and forth about the perceived negativity she brought but I believe, had John lived, the world would have been a better place than it is now. Maybe that is the reason he was killed.

Immediately you see him, you think 'wow, that's the exact same bloke who John invited in and fed at his house in Surrey ' and his style of questioning is the same... really analysing very specific lyrics and talking as if JL wrote them as a guide to him personally. I'm English so I couldn't vouch for the difference in east/West Coast accents as another contributor has done but if it IS the same guy then maybe drug use might explain a difference in speech? This one seems more articulate and with it. The guy in England at the door was hungry and dishevelled and msybe on drugs....

Curt was never in the military, he was NOT a veteran as is widely thought to be the case. He was a straight ‘A’ student in high school and earned a scholarship to the University of California in Davis, California. Then he started using drugs and dropped out of school. He spent most of his life working on farms. We worked at Ford Motors in Milpitas, California until they closed the factory. Ford gave their employees $12,000 so could re-train for another job. I asked Curt, “What are you going to do with your $12,000?” Curt said, “I’m either going to buy a Harley or an ultra-light airplane.” He bought the ultra-light and that’s what killed him. He was flying too low and too slow and the plane stalled. It happened in Fremont, California. The plane came down, bounced off a carport roof, and landed in a tree, six feet off the ground. The high impact caused his aorta to separate from the heart. Death was instantaneous.
