Curt's Homelite 360 Major Service: Throttle Trigger, Intake Boot, Starter, Carburetor, Fuel Hose!

This video covers in detail most major repairs on a 360, short of breaking into the short-block. The throttle trigger setup is service, including removing the throttle handle cover, new intake boot is installed, the starter rope replaced the EASY way, fuel hose installation the EASY way and the carburetor pressure tested. The result is a good running saw!

You are the only one on KZfaq that stresses the importance of pressure testing carbs as much as you do. So much so that I reverse ingeneered your tool with fittings/gauges and tygon from Amazon and I have to say welll worth my time sourcing things for all the trouble that it's saved me

My buddy just dropped off the craftsman version of the 360. I said to him “man that looks just like a homelite!” Was on the interwebs looking into the craftsman and found out they were 360’s! I told him “I’ll watch Leon’s video to see what I need to do” lol

I keep telling people you wouldn't say IT, even if ya stepped in IT! The world issa changing. But ya have given me inspiration to gather my 3-360 barn fresh wrecks into some resemblance of a saw. Right after i get a few other projects off the healing bench. Great vijayo.. Cheers. K

Yesterday I got my 360 disassembled for sandblasting and new paint. During the process I found a STIHL boot installed, somehow forced to be there. Damn, I hate things like these! Today I placed an order for a new boot. It is # 12048-C for those who need one!

Good video Leon, I need to do the intake boot on my 360 and wasn't looking forward to it. Sometimes I need the industrial size swear jar in my workshop too.

Leon I think if that was my saw hypothetically speaking, that rubber handgrip would have went bye bye, I know that's a customer's saw do you think a couple of wraps of hockey tape would work and say maybe some inside cordage from paranoid wrapped underneath it so you could get a good purchase on the rear handle?
