It's similar to when April logs on. She will have like a rare 10-15 minutes alone to herself that is peaceful and drama-free, but once people find she is in the city her cell phone starts going off like crazy with people trying to meet up with her.

I've seen a few comments around about her just streaming with chat closed. I kinda feel like for a streamer like Rae, that might be more stressful than playing with chat open.

@@Jinni_SD I agree, she’s very connected with her chat. But I also think she LOVES the game even when she’s streaming. She hasn’t really let chat ruin her mood lately, she puts them in their place. I only watch vods so I only see the aftermath, but I haven’t seen her quit because of chat, since she started playing again. She did it a couple times back when she played the first time around

Sometimes I wish we as a community could create a safe space for her but entitled 12 year olds ruin it

I think her letting what people say get to her will make her play games off stream more which sucks for the ones that enjoy her live like when she plays Valorant they don’t get to see those moments

its harder for her cause she got stan twitter too..and those people are very vocal in expressing their opinions..so its like valkyrae have to control 2 side of platform..in her chat and twitter.

I mean, people stream because they like seeing the audience react to them, like when they have big moments and everyone is pogging off in chat. It only becomes a career when they can sustain themselves through only streaming. Now its weird to see streamers get so hung up on chat when chat doesn't react the way they wanted it to. Considering Rae's chat moves at god speed, she could just turn up some music and tune out chat when we're doing chill stuff. It's a vibe and I would enjoy that more than her going back and off complaining about chat every GTA stream. It's not fun for her, it's not for us.

@@Ryan-sn3uo I think that's a pretty shallow take on what being a streamer is. I think most streamers want to have a community that they can interact with and share their enjoyment of the game they're playing. She obviously cares about her community and what they have to say. And when her own community is telling her how everything she does is wrong and "how can she forget this.."etc , I imagine that's mentally tasking. But ultimately she doesn't owe you anything. She's a gamer first and if she enjoys playing those games offline then she should.

@@theonlyone261 I meant that as what motivated streamers to become streamers in the first place. The enjoyment of streaming in its simplest form. The community comes after that. Unless you see yourself as a celebrity before an entertainer, then this still holds true.

@@kazehazeee Yeah not saying she can't but mostly talking about whenever she does something (like in gta) she looks over at chat to see their opinions and then you can tell when her mood changes. Because of the fact that rae's chat is horrible when it comes to gta there's tons of backseat and negative opinions.

She should hide chat when playing GTA just like when she played Among Us

Because Rae likes her viewers and appreciate them, she’s not the type of streamer to sit there for hours ignoring her chat - she’s always appreciated her viewers a lot - she just needs to start putting it in members only mode more often again

people forgot that she is re-starting her gta journey. Cause a year ago she just log in occasionally to hang out with friends and having a long break in between, so she get fast paced to banks and stuff without learning properly or doing any progression. So thats why she starts doing this stuff because she want to build her character and plot.

i think its less about live streaming it vs posting youtube comments, as she does read them. She only ever posted one episode of GTA content on her youtube channel. I think its just mainly people being stupid and hating on her no matter what she does, that creates the appeal of doing some of the stuff on her own.

It's CGs block so she has protection there so she don't have to worry about other gangs or cops as much as sh would selling at some of the other areas, but it's a relatively newer area and has a lower local spawn rate so sometimes there are low or no locals to sell to

I've thought about this too. And the most logical thing that I can come up with is that for a streamer they have to make sure there audience is enjoying the content. With that said it's hard to entertain 20k+ viewers constantly. I still think she should just ignore chat but when it's your career you have to check sometimes.
