🙋🏼 ABOUT ME: Hi guys! My name is Alyona. I was born in Russia. I'm a musician. And I love art, makeup, fashion, style and beautiful environments. I love playing with makeup and fashion, but at the same time, I’m quite a minimalistic person. I don't like the idea of being fixated on the body too much. I have an alternative and unconventional viewpoint on beauty, the body types and face shapes. I love helping other women find their "it" and finally discover their beauty and boost their confidence.
I have several series on my channel that you might be interested in such as: Body Types, Contouring, Makeup History and Makeup Transformations. Also some random beauty hacks about skin care, hair, nails and beauty in general.

For those who are confused between FN and SD, they are similar enough so you could wear the wrong type without looking crazy. SD wearing the wrong type will look too casual. I’m an FN and when I tried SD I looked overdone. Just play around and see what works for you.

same here! I've poured over the body types for so many hours but so much makes sense if I am an FN. I look way better with a sports bra/no bra than a push up and if I am showing cleavage, I need a lot more volume at the hips. I do tend to gain weight in my chest, but every other descriptor matches.

Same I'm a FN, but I have bigger boobs and quite a curved hip bone structure. I don't really fit into SN because when I do that type of styling, it feels too feminine. Same with SD, when I do it, it feels too masculine.. and the Pure Natural one just feels a little bland on me. I really wish they included mentions of bigger chests or hips 🥲

I’m in a weight loss journey and it’s kind of been fascinating to see my true figure type emerge. Turns out I’m a flamboyant natural and I had no idea! It helps explain why, when I was carrying so much excess weight on my hips and I tried following the standard dressing advice for pear shapes, it always looked wrong. My shoulders don’t need bulking up because they are what gives me my natural strong frame, and it’s best if I hang my clothes from them without additional structure - both when I was overweight and now when I’m not. Now I dress for flamboyant natural type and for the first time in my life I feel I actually understand and can dress to complement my body type. This series of videos has been super helpful and enlightening.

@Marina_7
@Marina_7 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I think she intentionally picked them to confuse us lol, Rachel also looks a lot more muscular here. I think the key is that vibe SD women have: womanly, sofisticated, charismatic. Kind of like someone you'd immediately feel like calling a 'lady'. Oooor who you would imagine as a stereotypical widow whose 3rd rich husband died by 'accident' lmao
@Whateverthatscool666

What helps me see the Soft Dramatic in Rachel Weisz is the shape of her neck and shoulders, they are more sloped, which I believe is a Romantic trait, it softens her frame a lot compared to Jennifer's, who does look more frame dominant in the shoulders and neck area.

I personally think FN and SD have more in common than Flamboyant Natural and Dramatic. Both have long vertical lines, but should also emphasize width, both have some exotic vibes on their style essence, and both are not sharp-oriented, I would say. Flamboyant Natural is more yang oriented, whereas Soft Dramatic is a bit more yin. Dramatic Classic in fact, has more in common with Dramatic than FN and SD, because they share two most important dramatic features in their style essence: long vertical lines and sharpness.

in my opinion flamboyant naturals always have some softness to their flesh. They have drama but they, in my opinion, don't consist of very sharp bones. The bluntness of their bones and the way their flesh lies on top of that create some softness
@peacefreedomandwealth
@peacefreedomandwealth 3 жыл бұрын
@@FarahNathanna I also perceive them that way. Flamboyant Naturals in fact do not have noticeable sharpness in their bones. The only sharp features you can notice in their look, are slightly in their face and sometimes in their hands. Besides this, they are blunt dominant and their soft yang is never overpowered by the dramatic aspect of their appearance. That is the way I find it surprising that FN and D are considered as the most similar to each other. On the other hand, the sharpness is much more noticeable on Dramatic Classics - maybe this is because their balance makes a great background to the drama aspect of their appearance.

Check out the site "blossom system" created by a kibbe fan explaining very well how to analyse bodies and finding your type and even better she added types which are missing by the logic of the yin and yang aspects. Curviers FNs exists but one type called "extravagant natural" with the traits longer vertical, blunt bones + width and lush (very soft yin flesh and flesh curved) is really missing in kibbe the system and pure natural should never have been excluded as a subtype as well. In the end everyone is individual not everyone fits 100% in one ID and most of us have problems to get the system properly because we do not have stylist understanding of analysing and dressing bodies but the kibbe system flaws within yin and yang logic.

Welcome to the club lady 🙈☺️ I have overweight and I feel exactly the same. I am more heavy on the top, so I try to wear darker or plainer items on the top, always try the 3rd item and try to lenghten my silhouette with long cardigans and coats. Light colors, soft fabrics can help to feel more feminine. I do this sometimes, but not everyday. Sometimes I want my black leather jacket and my „Diva“ attitude 😉 I think Aly can explain much better this theme. Aly, please explain how could (Soft) Naturals more feminine or even not 🤗

I agree. I have always thought curvy refered more to the defined waistline + round hips + fleshy thighs, which is not the case for any of the women in this video. Big bust =/= curvy. I've known many busty girls that are not curvy at all. I would say big breasts are not defining in Kibbe's system. Also, last but not least, curvy is not overweight.

I relate to this as a curvy FN! I've felt so confused being so tall and feeling masculine, but also seeing that I have some curves. Thinking of body types in this way really is liberating though. I can be both yin and yang; both are beautiful. Every body type has their own charm, and I've found some comfort in the idea that a lot of supermodels are FN...no, I'm not as pretty or perfect as them, but it helps me reframe my image of myself. Even though I've felt like a male neanderthal most of my life...if a lot of people see FN models as the pinnacle of femininity (in some cases; everything is subjective and relative) then I feel like I can give myself permission to feel feminine, and not think I'm ONLY masculine. Anyway, good luck on your journey!

@@kojayeoja Thank you! Yes, I think that yang gives FNs a pretty womanly vibe, but more relaxed and fresh, in comparison to let's say the sofistication of SD or delicacy of R. It might be just in our heads that we look manly I think. At least in my experience, I've had people comment on my curves a lot. One thing is that (at least I) look old in sofisticated/elegant/crisp stuff. I was even able to look 45 when I was 13 somehow lmao it's a talent 😂 Looking older is probably the thing we have to look out for more than looking mainly. That goes for clothes, shoes, accessories and makeup. Though I don't really have a solution, maybe other than following FN guidelines.

I’m a curvy FN, people on Reddit and Facebook were nearly split determining my type as either SD or FN. But I was able to work it out from where I gained weight (my arms and waist) and seeing a few key photos that I wasn’t very soft and my bones weren’t sharp like my housemate who is actually an obvious Dramatic type. I attribute my curve for a FN to my mother who is Romantic with that obvious hourglass and delicate bones, and she’s so much shorter than me and has always been “Fleshy” even when she got down to her lightest weight so I’m confident in that. She’s also always bragged to me about her wide shoulders 😂

Exactly. It's as ridiculous as it gets. Rachel is, to my eyes, so very much N category, she has no lushness to fit into SD, apart from being very rectangular in both face and body and athletic appearing, strong - and Jennifer has next to no frame or musculature or width that can be even remotely considered prominent in order to place her in N group, let alone FN. It's not about curves only, it's about definition - bust, waist, hips vs rectangular with bust (straight hips and waist line). RW is so misplaced as SD just as JL is misplaced as FN, IMHO. Eva Mendez is N, that's obvious. Just like Princess D had bust but was so very much FN (swimmer body type). No waist, no hips, athletic, toned, rectangular. Bust or not, no difference. It's about outer line, proportions, body lines. In Eva's case, her breasts are within her rib cage, her outer line is straight. That's what makes her N. Just as RW, IMO. Sofia Vergara, if you drow her outer line, following her body line, is hourglass, her breasts are wider than her rib cage, she has waist definition, hips and bust definition. It's hourglass vs rectangular. It's soft curves vs. athletic straight body. It's not just about bust.

@blueice011
@blueice011 3 жыл бұрын
@@orangeblossom5362 Actually, SD has yang frame and very yin flesh, while FN has both flesh and frame yang. It's soft, lush flesh vs toned, athletic flesh. Nothing in common. Just shoulder width doesn't make a type. All bones need to have width and bluntness to them and bone frame has to be dominant feature that you see first when you look at person. Not flesh, or height, i.e. If you don't see curves/flesh first, lush bust, hips, tiny waist, but shoulders, it's N most probably. If you ask 'what frame?' when you see a woman (SD's usually have proportional shoulders and frames in general, and they are big, tall girls) that means that they are flesh/curve dominant. Sofia Lauren is by no mean frameless. But when you see her you simply don't look at her frame, you stare at curves. That makes her SD. What do you see first when you look at RW? The same with JL? Personally, I see bust when I look at JL first, and nicely proportionate, feminine figure. And I see muscles when I look at RW. JL appears more yin in both flesh and bones to me than RW. Yes she has shoulders. But that's not something you see first when look at her. She is not frame dominant to my eyes. Nor muscular and strong. I see no width in her ankles or wrists. RW has more width in that aspect too. She is less lush, less defined, more rectangular and strong appearing. JL is not FN. RW is not SD. Just like Nicole Kidman is not FN. All I see is height when I look at her. She lacks width to be FN. She is more narrow than Reese W. for crying out loud who is what? SG/TR? The most petite and yin body images. She is body wise D and vibe wise C. Kibbe is all over the place.

This was very timely as I'm currently stuck between FN, DC and SD. I never thought I was SD, others were suggesting it, and now I can say without a doubt I'm not SD 😂 I have curves, but I am not "curvy". I look alright with a loose waist emphasis, but I look way better without. I'm beginning to think I need to just accept FN! I would love to see you compare FN and DC 😁

I"m just tired of that many people's offended with "Masculine"/"Feminine"/"unisex" fragrances. so I think we need to start consider as Yin/Yang instead of woman/man, and how their harmony(accords) suits to the personal style…!

I was actually thinking about how many flamboyant naturals, who have some yin features to their faces, can look like soft dramatics at first glance. For example anne hathaway, but when you spend more time looking at their faces you can see the bluntness in their bones. I was analyzing a german youtuber, kayla shyx, and she seemed as maybe just a skinny soft dramatic, but while looking more at her face I realized she is a flamboyant natural, who is first of all young, so ofc there is some flesh in the face, and just has full lips and big eyes, so they can distract from their soft yang, if you don't look into the details. I am a soft dramatic and I think a word that could describe the difference to the blunt angles of any natural is maybe our bones are more sleek looking, if that makes any sense lol

Interesting videos ! I also think about opposite situation,is when someone who is a "skinny" soft natural ,like they are soft but the softness isnt as obivious as many examples on the internet. I am underweight ( and also flat-chested lol) so comparing to other soft naturals my softness doesnt show much ,but soft natural line fit me the most. That's why I mistype myself as flamboyamt natural or natural ,when Im too skinny I even confuse myself with dramatic type. 😅

Naturals are very interesting. FN can be very similar to SD and SN can be very similar to R. FN and SF can both have this exotic vibe, can both be curvy and can have a combination of soft and sharp features in the face. Both elongated, both using softer fabrics. SN and R can both be short and slightly wide (SN have more yin so the bones are a little smaller and R always look a little wide). Both can wear a very antique femenine style. Shorter lines, light fabrics, waist enfasis, no color blocking. Soft facial features, slighty irregular bone structure. Both curvy. However I do think that pure Naturals are very distinctable.

Another really great video! I'm Soft Dramatic and still confused why people say that the hallmark of SD is a T silhouette...to me that would denote broad shoulders and would fit more with FN. I know SDs have a sharpness at the edge of the shoulders due to sharp bones but as others have mentioned, the line from shoulder to neck may be sloped and not necessarily straight. Since this or that individual feature can vary from person to person, why focus on the T silhouette as if the shoulders are always the same, rather than just focusing on long lines w/ soft flesh? Can anybody solve this for me?
@purrgundy
@purrgundy 11 ай бұрын
The T silhouette is about the overall shape of your outfit. Both FN and SD need some space on the top of their bodies for 2 different reasons: FNs need to accommodate their wide shoulders, and SD need to accommodate their curves. Both have volume in the same area, but with different focal points if that makes sense.
