Simply both act as an agents of depository... Depository maintains depository participants and custodian.. And DP and custodian maintain investors ..

What is difference between Omnibus and Segregated account? Which is followed in Indian system

Omnibus account refers to pooled account. It means, different client's assets are put together in one account called Omnibus account. On the other hand, segregated account will clearly maintain separate account for each client. So, the clarity of assets in each clients account will be far better here.

In India, whether it is segregated or omnibus? Since if you see Demat ID it contains both DP ID + BO ID and also cdsl or nsdl is sending emails to BO. which system is followed here?
