@@210Designs I was wondering your thoughts on running two of these in a ported box that is only .9 cubic feet for each sub? I know it is kinda small but it fits under the back seat of my truck and i got a hell of deal on the box. Thanks

@@mitchputerbaugh1940 - - That’s a little in the small side for these subs man. Especially being ported. It sure I would recommend it. If anything, I’d recommend sealed, which will be a better fit, for that airspace. Or at least do one sub ported. Hope that helps 👌🏽and thanks for reaching out.

@@kkpage01100 Yes, I use a box building software called (TermPro). When I need a quick reference or needing to confirm something, I also use (the12volt.com) It also has a speaker wiring selection, to help figure final ohm loads at the amp. Plus it’s free 👌🏽 If you need help or have questions, I’m also on IG@210.designs for quicker responses.

Thank you and you sure can bro! Wedge boxes/ports are calculated on an average of the (2) measurements. (Example: Front: 7” and Back: 4”) Add them together you get 11”, then divide by 2 to get 5-1/2” as the average height. And that’s the number you use 👌🏽 Hope that helped and thanks for checking in.

That’s awesome! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Hope everything goes well for you. I use 1/2” mdf on 99% of my truck boxes, that fit under the seat. There are 3 main factors going against you on these builds. Air space, mounting depth and port location. To make up for using a thinner material, I incorporate more bracing. I like 1-1/4” wooden dowels myself. Very affordable, rounded so it will have better air flow and they don’t take up much of your internal air space. As for up/down fire, I find you get better output from your subs, if they fire up, rather than down. Sound waves traveling up through the seats, rather than firing against the floor. *FYI - All my customers have told me that their female passengers prefer sitting in the backseat, rather than up front 🤣👍🏽. Tip- If you are short on internal volume needed, add some poly-fil. Works for me 👌🏽 if you need any help or have questions, just hit me up 🤙🏽 I’m also on IG @210.designs

That will definitely get you some solid bass 👌🏽 Shops are hiring folks over the head for custom boxes. They may offer a pre-fab that will fit. Most of those are a couple hundred bucks.

@@210Designs looks to possibly be about the same as this one in video. Only like 7” for most of it till you hit the center little hump and roughly 4” in the rear. Sub says it only needs 0.65 cubic ft

51-1/2”x 7-1/2”x5” Not real sure if it will. You would have to measure it out 👌🏾

I try and keep an open mind, when it comes to audio products. I base it on pricing, build quality and versatility (can be used in ported or sealed enclosures). With that being said, I’d have to go with Skar on this one. Only because of the price difference 👌🏽 *Both performed very well in this application.

I have 3 vd 10s in a sealed truck encloser I built myself. The whole cab flexes. They hit low notes also "for 10s". But I want a ported box for 3 skar vd 10s d4s. Any tips or ideas? For a single cab dodge.

@@donaldwills9732 what makes you wanting to go ported now? I kind of want to go back to sealed to save space but I think I will miss the extra "boom" that ported gives. Been running ported almost 10 years now 😆

What’s up Chris 👌🏽 On 1/2 mdf I use GRK 1-1/2” star head screws and on 3/4” mdf I use1-5/8” coarse #6 wood screws.
