Thank you.. I have posted videos about custom theme development and custom plugin development.. I try to touch on the basics and teach other aspects so everyone can put it all together and do it themselves. That is what being a developer is about.

Lets also include the fact that you may have a sophisticated local host environment (i.e. WordPress in Docker), that may be different form your remote live server environment. Having plugins reduces the time you need, to bring you local updates over to your remote areas (if needed).

That's a question that I always have in mind but still don't understand: If we create a custom theme, why we will create "features" to work with other themes?? If I'm making a theme, everything that I will create to work with that theme should BELONGS to that theme, because I'm creating to work WITH that theme. Does it make sense??? I really can't thing why create features to the custom theme but also work with others themes. Again, make sense what I'm saying? Thank you!!! You videos is always really helpul.

Great question. You may decide at some point to change the theme or build a new theme. You may want to use those same features on the new theme. Instead of having to copy those over to the new theme, just build them as plugins and you are good. I hope that was the question you were asking.
