I don't want to even guess at the price. Norwegian salaries are good by any standard, so even if the gunsmith is willing to "eat" all the RnD hours that went into his personal copy, and build subsequent copies for just material and labour cost, something as nice as this is going to be.... ugh....

That build is exactly the type of rifle that would find commercial success in the US if the NFA wasn't a factor. It checks a lot of boxes for a lot of shooters. It's a fun range toy, it has a practical application as a farm rifle.

Great video! I built a mini mauser .45acp out of a totally ruined Swedish small ring mauser carbine. I too had to engineer a spring loaded ejector and I shortened the bolt travel to better fit the short stubby .45 acp cartridge. The barrel is threaded but not yet suppressed. I used a Rhineland magwell adapter and 1911 mags cut down to 5 rounds. I like your magwell much better.

If you come to Britain, the oldest business in London, is The Whitechapel Bell Foundry, well worth a visit. Just phone ahead. They're a lovely crowd. They used to cast bronze cannon blanks for us. I had a gun founders licence, at the time. We were making period accurate early bronze, bottle breech guns copied from a 1450 one in Italy. I made the mistake of getting the first one in bell metal. It rang, loudly!

Honestly, the De Lisle is undervalued. I'm Br*tish so it's not as easy to tinker with weapons - the subsonic, manual action kind of design is really undervalued. There are so many more modern developments, but there hasn't been much effort to "delay" the action and maintain that gas seal.
