Glad you had a deeper look into ACF and mainly Custom Post Types. Isn't it great to have custom data fields with almost whatever you like or prefer there? For me, it opened the doors to a whole new world back in the days. Changed my way of thinking as the Title and Text-Editor is very limited, you were kinda stuck in there with all your content.

Couldn’t you also create the web address as a text editor field (Tiny MCE) and then set the link there and then display that field for the web address?

Another terrific video! Off to create my events. One thing I didn't see or missed in the video. Is there a way to specify the order the custom post types are displayed on the custom post type archive page? So I'm using it for events. Is there a way to show the events in Date order and not display them after the date has passed?

This is a great tutorial! Thank you! I do have one question. Is there a way to set it so that if they lets say don't enter a phone number, it doesn't display anything? I have it set up for our rescue and I have fields that are conditional. So for example, there is a conditional field for "Adoption fee:" but some horses aren't adoptable so it doesn't get filled out. On the page though, it stills shows because its part of the layout. and it just shows "Adoption fee: " and no amount. I'm not seeing how to avoid this! Any help would be great!! THANK YOU!

It shouldn't display if it's blank unless you have added a header. Can you add a URL with an example post where it is blank?

Hello, Thanks for the video. Now with the ACF we can get rid with the CPT UI. So I modified and made a successful page. However, Im now trying to add a page with Unlimited elements google map, but I just cant get the coordinates to show. It shows the title and featured image only. So I then in post types in advanced settings, added Custom, latitude and longitude thinking that will then show in the post and be accessed but failed. Is there anyway we can make a locations map with various addresses (coordinates) added as custom fields and get them to show as markers on the map (i.e it should query over all the projects(in my case), in the projects custom field with various labels? I do not have acf pro, but I do have elementor pro and unlimited elements premium. Thank you so much for your content!

Thanks for the Video... I typically find your videos very helpful. I have a question. How to do you display a taxonomy? On my site I have Different Taxonomies - Blog, News, Video, etc... I created. I want to display the Taxonomy in a text field group in Elementor in a loop grid, but I can't get it to work. Nothing shows up. I also created an image field associated with the specific taxonomy, and tried to use ACF Views to display it. I was able to attach a photo to the Taxonomy in the admin menu, but displaying it on Elementor has proven to be difficult. Nothing shows up, so I'm very confused. Basically, have elementor show a [image] - [taxonomy] inside a loop grid associated with the post that it is assigned to.

Somehow it does not display the KZfaq video. I tried with the ACF text field and url field for the same. If you could throw some light on that, would be really helpful.

Great tutorial Imran!! I am stuck on something I'm trying to achieve: Having 2 text fields in my Elementor template BUT in between those I would be calling data from an API (example: Live airfare prices). So I would have content above the API data and content below. But with the standard 'Post Content' element...I (obviously?) can't have 2 of those in the template. Also, how do you get the ACF text area field to actually be editable in the page in Elementor? When I create a new page I can only edit it in the Wordpress Gutenberg editor. I know...alot I'm asking here, but either way...great stuff and keep it coming!

Is it possible to dynamically hide a section and its header if there is no text in the respective ACF field? For example, I have a created a custom post type + template that I utilize for Professor profiles for a university. Some professors do not provide information for some fields (like "Academic Awards", for example), in which case I want the header text of the section not to appear in the template on the front-end.

22:34 - I have ACF Pro and it still doesn't show the URL. I think this is a limitation (of bug) in Elementor - not ACF.

Wow, there was a LOT of information in that video. I need to have a (non-technical) user log in to a website built with Elementor Pro, upload 2 types of PDFs (agendas and minutes) and have each automatically display on their respective page in chronological order for the general public to see. I don't need anything but the PDF and maybe a title in each post. Would the methods you described in your video combined with a custom EPro archive templates be able to achieve this?

Sir, what do you say about PODS ? It has support for both : Custom Post Types and Custom Fields. If i need to chose between the two , which one should I go for to create Custom Post Types and Custom Fields? Which one has edge over the other and how ? The Two are : 1. PODS Framework and 2. Both are great and it just comes down to choice. Pods does offer some fields like Gallery for Free that you need ACF Pro for.

Imran, thank you for this tutorial. I also followed your Single Post Template tutorial. The issue I am having is that after following this tutorial when I open my test page with my posts and click on one of them, I only see a blank page. The actual single post is not showing up. Any idea why this is happening? Thank you again for all the work you've been doing. It is pretty amazing.

is the Elementor Preview Settings only available with Elementor PRO? i dont see it on the free version. my dynamic images and fields are not getting pulled and not being displayed.

No. You can use ACF with just Elementor Free.

I always use Elementor Pro. Using Free carries risk when you start to use many 3rd party plugins.

Hi, Good day. I tried creating a Custom Post type for a writer's portfolio... Now they have an archive of pieces (articles) they've written for other websites which I want the post title to link to those articles on those websites. (right now it just links to the custom post on the site I'm building) What do you think I can do please? Thanks in advance. 🙏

I'd need more details to understand that better, but we don't do 1-2-1 Site Support for free anymore. You could use a Headline instead, and then ensure that is dynamically set to the post title, and then make the URL for the headline point to the Web Address.

Both are good so you have to decide on your preference. Pods does reduce 2 plugins into 1.
