Hello everyone and welcome back!
I wanted to repaint a Mulan doll for quite sometime, especially after they have announced that production of the live action film, but I never got to it since I was so indecisive with what doll to use. I figured I would get the limited edition one since her clothes are the best that I have seen. I also wanted to give her more glam while incorporating some Liu Yifei vibes here and there.
I hope you guys like it, and I cannot wait for the movie!

Sealants : Mr. Super Clear (MSC)
Watercolor pencils: Faber Castle and Derwent
Chalk Pastels

White paint

Fun fact: in ancient China unmarried women wore their hair down and married women wore there hair up. Males usually had it in up in a bun and I think there's meaning behind cutting the bun off.

She is gorgeous! I winced a little when you yanked out her eyelashes--OUCH xD The faceup is beautiful and I love the finishing touches you added to her outfit. The ending location was beautiful and the perfect setting, too!

Im so disappointed that the movie ended up being bad, and the actress for Mulan ended up not being a good person :( this doll is absolutely beautiful

I swear, she looks absolutely breathtaking. I have the same collectors pair and the only thing I didn't like was how they gave Shang plastic hair, I actually prefer my male dolls to also have rooted hair. Luckily I had two Shangs with rooted hear so I just swapped the heads XD

True, I suppose it's just a preference of mine. I used a gentle hair spray on Shang's hair to keep stray hairs from coming out of place. He's for display anyway so he'll pretty much be stationary...unless he and Mulan pull a Toy Story.

One of my new favorite works of your’s!! Disney designers always mess up on Mulan’s face and makeup whenever they try to glam her up but you’ve truly served her justice, she looks too perfect!

Mulan is my favorite of the Disney Princesses. I always loved her the movies and how she did so much for the ones she loved. I really liked how you only had to fix a few things on this doll to make it great and added a few things too. I also like how you repainted the dragon to look like Mushu.

Mulan is based off of a Chinese legend about a young woman named Hau Mulan who did pretend to be a man to take her father's place in the army so he didn't have to. So it'd be pointless to take it out and the movie would lose it's meaning

I really fell in love hanbok styles dresses and the innocent demeanour in them. And your style really suits elegant clothing :)

First of all,your Mulan is stunning!! I'm sure they can still make a good movie without the music and ancestors,as much as I'll probably miss them,but she's not gonna pretend to be a man??? That's how she got into the army to even become a legend in the first place!

That's exactly what I thought. What I was most disappointed in is that she isn't going to pretend to be a man. Like that was the whole point of both the disney movie and the original Mulan story. It's what made her truly brave in my opinion. They might as well say that it is going to be a story inspired by Mulan, rather than a live action remake.

I just rewatched Milan last week so this totally hit a soft spot for me lol. She looks beautiful and I love the idea of the puffy under eye look on her, it’s so cute. The headpiece is everything tho. The end of the video was adorable, too! Great job!

Its actually awesomly amazing how people can turn fiction movies into non fictional real movies.. I still am wide eyed by how they made cinderella and now I wide eyed for mulan like WOW crystal WOW great job! Great job to you to HeXtian and also the chest on the before look of the doll was a bit too big like if you thought that too! Also I love how you are always like "hey guys sorry for my voice but that cant stop us from making dolls and a perfect revision!" You are just so happy to be making dolls and theres nothing wrong with that but its just what your mind tells you to if your mind is on the left side it tells you to go for the original way if your mind is on the right side its telling you to be creative and make your own creative wave of art! And I love how you are always doing your best to copy styles and heights of your customs!I really appreciate your wah of life and style! I'm pretty mad at the upcoming Mulan movie because they kicked out Li Sheng, Mulan's love interest. I am NOT happy with that, but I do love the doll repaint.

First they cut out the whole point of Mulan dressing up as a man and going to war instead of her father, then they cut out ancestors and now this? Why call it Mulan if you're going to cut out everything that made the story good...
