People don’t seem to understand that you can add stripes while your at primer then cover up the stripes you made then base coat then clear coat everything. You save tons of time and don’t have to re clear 10 million times and you won’t have the ridges from the stripes. (Certified aircraft painter and custom paint jobs, I know what I’m talking about)

9:30 some call that technic swirls. But when I was taught it was called fish scales. Of course that was back in the early eighties. You can get the same results on bare aluminum with drimal tool and even a pencil with the removal erases and a drill. You put a course grit buffing compound on the aluminum and just polish out the swirls with an overlap to get the fish scale effect. Time consuming but it makes a good looking console cluster (around speed Odometer,etc) or if you have a center shifter console.
