Thank you for calling out the keyboard "builders!" So sick of the turds trying to tell you what you should and shouldn't do. If you've never talked to me, I don't know you....you don't need to tell me what to do. So much loss of common courtesy and respectful discourse because of social medias. I love watching your builds. I've gotten several ideas from your methodologies.

😆 you said it bro. I’ve never understood why people do that 🤷🏽‍♂️ They are so quick to pass judgment on something that wasn’t built/designed for them. No home training at all 🤦🏽‍♂️

I started using the circle cutout to hold down the fabric inside the recessed area for the sub. Lay the fabric out and put the circle cutout sections back in and keep stretching the fabric. Once box is carpeted you just pull the circle pieces out and the carpet inside the recessed section is nice and flat

Just curious, wouldn’t it have been a little safer to do some solder and heat shrink on the wires inside the box? Box looks great overall 💪🏻
@210Designs
@210Designs 2 жыл бұрын
Yessir, it sure would’ve. However, with the length of wire per sub already short (installed in a previous box). We wanted to make it end-user friendly. Meaning not everyone has certain tools/equipment, so if he decides to remove them for any reason…he can with ease 🤙🏽

Thank you. To be honest, I’m not really sure. All I can tell is in the Hobby Lobby fabric section, it’s grouped together, in the back wall. They have them stacked vertically….about 16 different colors. My receipts all say “fabric” but the cardboard they are rapped around shows “felt” 👌🏽

Beautiful work, as always! Sorry it's been so long! I had to shelve my project for a minute. I got my box all assembled though. Ran into some issues but I think I got them solved well enough. I have one more issue though; Can I cut my speaker hole AFTER I glue the box together? I have a double baffle and a 1/4" router. I bought a 1/4" diameter, 3" long end mill to cut the depth of the two 3/4" front baffle panels. I'll make several, conservative passes with the router to keep the strain on the tool at a minimum at that depth. I have the circle jig too. Think I'll be ok? Or did I make a major mistake?
@210Designs
@210Designs 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you bro 👌🏽 No need for apologies, we all have lives outside of stat 😆 99% of issues during builds can be fixed. Based on the length of that bit (3”) should be plenty of depth for the two layers of 3/4” material.

@210Designs 2 жыл бұрын
@@CORZER0 🤣🤣🤣 Listen at ya. Like you said, make several passes, lowering the bit in small depths with each pass. *Tip- pre-drill screw hole on the opposite side of where you start cutting. Gonna be a lot of weight hanging on that circle cutout. Don’t want to put that but in a bind. When you get close to your last passes, it will start sagging in that side. Run a screw in by hand, to give you a grabbing point with your other hand after each pass. Helping to hold it up for the final cut.
@CORZER0
@CORZER0 2 жыл бұрын
@@210Designs I think I understand. So run a screw in during each pass and hold onto it?
@210Designs
@210Designs 2 жыл бұрын
@@CORZER0 Almost 👌🏽 Only run the screw in when you start you final pass and see the bit has cut through and you can see inside the box. Then run the screw in ✌🏽

What size amp would you recommend for this build?
@210Designs
@210Designs 20 күн бұрын
I believe these subs were 400 rms (ea). So I would shoot for an amp that puts out 1800-2500rms. With ported enclosures it takes less power to get loud, because they are more efficient and subs don’t require the rated power needed. Sealed enclosures require more power, due to the back pressure inside pushing against the cone 👍🏽 *FYI-I tested this build on an American Bass 100.1 (1500.1) rms amp at low volume 😮‍💨 instagram.com/reel/Cioa4CnjWkB/?igsh=cXk2dGIzZ3JodXEx
