Welcome to my channel. Please like this video and subscribe to support my future work. This is locomotive in 1:87 scale, but it's customized to be close to 1:64 scale. You can see how I did weathering and rust effects, I tried to make post apocalyptic or gaslands vehicle, in Mad Max style.
Also, check this video to see how you can cure super glue instantly, using baking soda.

Yes, I tried several times to make suspension with small diameter metal pipes and springs but its very hard to cut so many precise elements. Plastic is not so hard to cut but its less durable. I will try to make plastic prototype first.

I have the same engine in a Pullback metal body...I cut off the front bogie and the cowcatcher and removed the Pullback mech...then stuck a countersink screw in the front to act as a kingpin for a semi tractor that now tows the engine...which I just set the front bogie truck to the place where the Pullback mech was...it kinda floats in there until I figure how to give a placement...the tractor now sports the cowcatcher...the tractor is a bluntnose or cabover...on top I mounted an 8 wheel crane truck with a big gun from a larger toy that will act as an energy weapon rear faceing...the side porthole style window are where the crew shoot from...the cowcatcher has a gap between it and the tractor...thinking to mount a forward faceing gun there...then it will be fully covered...when I saw what you were doing with the motorized version I had to see what you did with it...pretty nice...

I play GL in a more real way; no audience votes, no teams or sponsors. Just a street fight with out the sci fi stuff (lasers, etc) and you can shoot every phase even if you are not moving. The idea to shoot only on a phase you move was included by the author just to make his game different from 40k he said in an interview.

Ran across your post in my feed. Biggest takeaway from your vid that i need to try is your settings for your raft on the 3D printer. I use rafts all the time but it takes a lot if time so if I can cut down on that part of the process that would be awesome. Will have to play with my settings in the slicer (using Cura 4.0) to see if I can replicate.
@WhattoRepair
@WhattoRepair 2 жыл бұрын
Let me know if you need something more of my settings. I don't use top layer so it could be faster. Raft makes good adhesion without top layer. You can see almost entire raft settings in video. If you need use comma and dot keys on keyboard to view video frame by frame. You can't see only "Raft base print speed". It's 18.75 mm/s. All values for "Raft fan speed" are zeros. I dont't use fan when printing raft, so it cools slower and makes better adhesion to bed.

It is a regular digital caliper. Mine is from Aliexpress, I don't know where you live, but you can buy it in almost every hardware store. Aliexpress was little bit cheaper for me. This one is made from metal and It cost around 15 USD with shipping included, and you have even plastic calipers that cost 3-4 USD. I have this one: www.aliexpress.com/item/33032297028.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.33.70781e3bFh7lVX&algo_pvid=9837698c-b239-4e79-9a9b-518cfde0ac96&algo_exp_id=9837698c-b239-4e79-9a9b-518cfde0ac96-16&pdp_npi=3%40dis%21USD%2113.32%2111.32%21%21%2113.32%21%21%40211bf49716888286151131905d07dc%2110000000588023735%21sea%21SRB%21138171456&curPageLogUid=lnWhDu9wrBiN

@WhattoRepair

It was not running at all. I guess motors were damaged, because locomotive was found on a flea market and it was in very bad condition, lot of moisture etc. I guess it could have been repaired, but I also guess that replacement motor and work is more expensive than another used locomotive in working condition.
