Custom Radio Flyer Wagon | No Welding Needed!

Welcome to IT Garage, where were just guessing.
Is it perfect? No. Can you do it better? Maybe. Let me know how yours turns out!
This is about a Radio flyer wagon that I bought off FB marketplace for $20. Wanted something cool to take my daughter to car shows in this summer and she's still pretty young, so the wood sides will help make sure she stays in the wagon. I suggest using the nylon lock nuts on both sides of the wheel rather than the thread locker, but that's what I had laying around.

I LOVE THE RADIO FLYER BRAND. I HAD ONE WHEN I WAS YOUNG. WAGONS ARE GREAT FOR CAR SHOWS, CRUISE NIGHTS, AND SWAPMEETS!!! A DEFINITE YES IN THE WORLD OF HOT RODDING.

For the bolt behind the wheel just use a second nut right near it then tighten them together where you want it. Now it can’t spin. Might help if the thread locker doesn’t hold up

I ended up going with ny-lock nuts. Work great!

Just remember, most of us dad's are like you just winging projects. Keep at it, enjoyed the vid! I'm starting my wagon today except gonna go the tubing route on the bottom if I can get by without welding it lol

Thanks for the kind words! And the welding is seriously not that bad, I just have the cheapest regular wall outlet stick welder that you can buy. It was more that enough to get the tube frame built. Give it a shot! What's the worst that'll happen?!?!

WAGON BUILDS ARE SIMPLE, BASIC, AND FUN. BASIC TOOLS ARE ALL THAT IS REQUIRED. SOMETHING TO CONSIDER. GREAT GIFTS AS WELL FOR ALL THE HOLIDAYS!!!

How much weight will it hold before the rear wheels bend the body in ?

Thanks for watching! I’m don’t have an exact weight, and that wasn’t a huge concern for me as I built this for my daughter for this summer and she’s currently only 15 pounds.
