Just downloaded their app. and uploaded a few products using custom cat first time. Kinda like their upload process hope they work out ok been using printful for a long time. I want better than printful.

Hi Ryan I LOVED your review this was a huge help! Is there away to use CustomCat to upload logo, create design dynamically and then download for printing in house on items that wouldn't be going through CustomCat for fulfilment? Thanks for your knowledge!

I started a couple of days ago and was pleasantly surprised at how easy their upload and placement process was. I have good vibes from them, hopeful they are as good as I heard. Side note; isn’t that Tiffany amber thiessen on the crazy face mug? 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

When I came across this video I got excited about giving them a try, since I'm focusing on mugs at the moment. Unfortunately I've had quite a few problems which are leading me to think it may not be worth saving a few dollars. First, with their design/layout interface (which I've only tried on mugs). They say what you see is what you get, but with the mockup display things look very different than the flat layout display, (the flat layout shows everything within the correct boundaries of the template, but the mockup shows parts of the design getting cut off, with blank mug being shown beyond the cutoff point) so I'm concerned about how things would actually print. With the limited controls they have to determine size and alignment of the design, it's really difficult to get it how I would want it. They have a preset that places the design on front and back, but the design is shrunk down to nearly 1/2 it's original size and there's no option to control scale with the preset. Second, with the description/tags section I had 13 tags which were all different and every time I clicked to continue it popped up with an error message saying to include 13 or fewer tags and that they all needed to be different. The only way I could get it to continue was to delete all the tags. Third, even though I've connected my Etsy shop, it never completes the publishing process. Just gets stuck at about 90%. So I can't comment on the order/shipping process as nothing is getting published to my shop in the first place. This also means it's not saved as a product in my account. I have to click to add a new product, then it will prompt me to pick up where I left off or start fresh. I tried multiple times to get it to publish, with no luck. Fourth, the pricing is misleading as the people who are using it for free (not paying $30/mo) are charged a significantly higher price (40-50+% higher), though their shipping is lower cost than Printful. There is *nothing* that speaks directly about this in their help center, it's only mentioned in passing in their selling guides. So for now I'm not going to continue with them, but I hope they improve as they grow and maybe I'll revisit them at a later date.

@@hiteshpurohit1062 I need to revise my previous comment: Apparently the difference in price and/or monthly fee only applies to people using Shopify. Using a free account and other platforms gets the seller the lower prices. I have used CustomCat for clothing and I am much happier with that experience (finally got the listings to post to my Etsy account). Processing and shipping were quick, print quality was good. The only issue was the sizing listed on the chart for the clothing was much too small, so my customer is not happy. However I contacted them and they are working with me to figure it out, so customer service is good. As for alternatives: There's also Gooten, which has low prices, although they only want people that get at least 100 sales per month (so newbies won't be approved). Also IconEcom, although their design/mockup system has much the same issues as CustomCat, and they charge $10/month for their Etsy integration. (Not sure about other platforms.)

Hey Ryan, nothing to do with this video, but I've been on merch by Amazon since November 2018, I was never super serious about it till now I've been in tier 500 for a while, tommorow I'm going to Max out my design slots I'm at 495 rn. Once I max out my designs what their will they bump me up to?? I have sold 1,500 shirts, average royalty at $5. Will I get bumped up to tier thousand right away

Custom Cat has a difficult interface. They have some great unique products and good prices but its too difficult to get the images Logo to edit.

I agree. I was trying them out today and attempting to upload all my designs. I kept getting an error message that, " My session expired" even though I was active the entire time. I logged out and back in several times, but the same error message persists. They need to resolve their IT issues. Not a great experience as a 1st time user.

To get a duplicate image on both sides: On the page where you upload your design, on the left side under "Positioning" you have two choices, "Full" and "CCPreset" Click on "CCPreset" to put an image on both sides of the mug.

Printify has a source for white mugs called District Photo, and the orders are fulfilled in the United States. With Printify Premium ($29.00 a month), 11oz white mug is $3.39 15oz white mug is $4.25 I don't know anything about District Photo, but the Printify prices are good.

@@fjvickery nice it seems the same as custom cat. now just wondering their processing time. still not sure about custom cat i got an answer from them but mentioned that they had 1.1 days for most products. not sure about mugs (i guess i will now only if i test it ) yet and average 5 days on holidays

This is my honest opinion - DO NOT USE CUSTOMCAT! Their print quality is terrible. I had to shut my online store down because 50% of the orders were defective. Prints are faded, blurred, mis-aligned and other problems. Many of their shirts are WAY smaller than their sizing chart displays. And, their embroidery is not very detailed. Sorry, I gave them a chance but it cost me money to use them.

I have had the same issues with Printful... I had to shut down my brand because i can not send garbage quality to my customers. Have you had any success with finding a POD company that actually makes quality prints? Im trying to build my name,, my brand and I can not have my reputation destoyed my these trash scam companies sending unacceptable prints to my customers.

Do they own their US production facilities? I’m thinking that they’re just a clearing house for traditional marketing products companies. Not a real POD. I suspect this because I live in Detroit and know where their office is located. They’re quite a small operation, which makes me think they’re just drop shipping someone else’s products.
