@@SilencedByKZfaq, generally speaking you are correct, but there are still a few honest and trustworthy dealers out there who always deliver for and to their clients, and after a while those clients do start wiring them large sums of money even without having seen the product in person, and those dealers always deliver; however, I truly believe that only 0.1% of dealers in the World are honest and trustworthy.

unfortunately learned this the hard way as well, anytime you meet someone involved in the auto industry (sales, auto repair, etc) 9/10 they are not your friend and looking to scam you

Steal a $50 item at a store, and the cops show up to arrest you. Do a wire transfer scam of over $275k and the guy goes on vacation to Russia. Make it make sense

Call the police and have the guy arrested. I doubt the car even exists. Plenty of similar scams on Facebook Marketplace, but it's for lower priced cars that also don't exist.

Everyone in the comments are putting the blame on him but rich shopping is just like regular shopping so it’s not a stupid thing to buy expensive things online. Everything seemed legit and this is nothing new to buy a car and it gets shipped, he simply was scammed. I don’t understand why everyone is talking about the older man.
