Thanks Curtis for all your great videos. You saved me allot of money recently. Called a fairly large HVAC company to do spring matinance on our 2 AC units. 3 ton and 2 ton. $59.95 per unit. 2 ton needed a 5 mfd fan capacitor and 3 ton needed a compressor capacitor and fan capacitor. Units were running ok before they came out. Quoted me $430.00 for parts and labor. I told him no thanks. Then I got the speel "they will probably fail on a very hot day and it would be awhile before we'd be able to get to you." Thanked him and said "no thanks" again. Gave the info on the capacitors to my son in laws brother who works at Johnstone Supply here in Minnesota picked them up and installed them myself because of your videos. Saved me BIG BUCKS! Thanks again for your informative videos! Much appreciated 😊

Had a maintenance contract with a company for our two units that we paid monthly, it wasn't cheap. It included trip charge, diag, and repair labor up to 4 hours, you only had to pay for parts. I fired them because each repair they marked the parts up 1000%. I have no issue paying techs for their labor and skills, especially for skills I don't have. My issue is when they charge $100 for a $10 capacitor from Grainger. Same brand, same part number (not cheap crap off Amazon). I think a lot of them count on customers not looking up what they're being charged. Own your hourly rate, don't pad your bill for stuff your company buys in bulk (for cheaper than Grainger) and keeps 20 in the truck.

Another job well done and in a tighter than tight closet! At least the shaft didn’t fight you coming out! That is just a noisy motor on start up no isolation from the blower housing to the motor. Last one today so go home kick back and play with Riley

For the door switch. What I use sometimes is a wire tie shoved into the side of the switch. Be well.

I do heating clean and checks in a condo building and there are four of those exact same furnaces in one closet and I do all four. Those flu pipes are a real 'Payne'.

Pro tip - Use a blade fuse to wedge that door switch closed. I keep a fuse in my pocket at all times just for that purpose.

Oh dear, I have the same air handler, but it's installed opposite that one. The blower is on the bottom. Does it matter?
