Customized Build of Epomaker TH80 75% Hotswap Mechanical Keyboard

Creating my first customized mechanical keyboard. This is the Epomaker TH80 recently released this early 2022.
Here I spray-painted the body and rotary knob, did foam mod at the bottom body, changed the stabilizers with Durock snap-in stabs, replaced the USB-C cable, keycaps and band aid mod under the space bar stabs.
What I like with the pre-built are the pre-lubed switches, hotswap and it having wireless options. And yeah, it's cheaper than usual boards. But damn, this "hobby" is very expensive.

Just bought this and I'm very impressed so far. Sounds and feels good right out of the box. Included in the box were four yellow key caps. Just wondering where these actually go on the keyboard?

Yellow key caps were for space, enter, backspace and tab I believe.

hey I bought the same keyboard and was wondering if you had a problem when pressing ctrl and backspace the keyboard rgb gets all white?

Yup, that's part of the "features". Pressing ctrl + backspace does make the RGB just white. I believe it's because it's the same as the NJ80

Just use ctrl on the right side and that will allow you to delete whole words. Not very convenient though.

Hey man. Yep, Quick Drying lacquer spray, 100% Acrylic automotive finish paint.

where can i find a different colored knob that fits the TH80?

I've seen others using guitar knobs instead since they fit. You might be interested in that, instead. The keydous nj80 knobs also fit here.

I found knobs on Amazon. Rozella's knobs for GK68 works with THxx, not sure about the hat versions but the other ones are OK.

Any knobs with an inner diameter of 6mm I believe will work.

do u experience any typing issues like delay, lag or delay when playing games on this keyboard ?

Whenever I play, I only play on wired mode (fn+5). Because when on the 2.4 GHz, yeah, there's a delay or short disconnection. I have to move the keyboard closer to my PC just so it would connect properly. The bluetooth is fine but also lags, some times. My pc is on the floor, but I don't think a table height should restrict the connection. Thinking of releasing a full review of this. Maybe when I get a new camera.
