➡️ How I made a Custom PVC Tactical Sheath for my 90's Tramontina Knife
In this video I present my customized version of a tactical sheath made of PVC from a 100mm diameter white PVC pipe, with a wall thickness of 1.8mm.
The knife that receives this sheath is a Tramontina in Chrome Molybdenum Stainless Steel, with a total length of 320mm, blade length of 200mm and thickness of 2.5mm. Manufactured and purchased new in the 1990s (approximately 1995 - 1996).
The characteristics of these knives have already been mentioned in a video here on my channel in which I present my modest knife collection, which this one is part of: • COLEÇÃO DE FACAS E CAN...
✅ The finished custom PVC sheath has the following dimensions:
- Overall length: 315mm
- Length of blade guard: 244mm
- Overall width: 80mm
✅ Brass eyelets nº 54 were used for its fixation with the dimensions:
- Larger outer diameter: 10mm
- Hole diameter: 5mm
- Height: 4mm
✅ Screws for fixing the belt loop in carbon steel Ø5/32” 32 f.p.p. with white zinc plated surface coating, slotted round head. Carbon steel nuts and brass washers. The fasteners were painted in black, the same paint used to finish the sheath.
✅Surface finish after due cleaning and preparation with light sanding to anchor the paint, using general purpose acrylic spray paint - matte black.
✅ 100% PET braided rope, 3mm diameter, white color with black and red braided. Total length of 1.7 meters properly accommodated around the hem.
