I did that too! I got one of the last ones at one of my local Best Buy stores. It’s the canary yellow one. I bought two protective cases. One without the popout bumps for better grip. And one with the bumps. They are both made of TPU (soft and flexible with grip feel). I like the one with the bumps. You don’t get carpal tunnel. You will like yours. What color did you get?

Just keep the joystick clean, but if your joycon drift, clean the bottom of the joystic with isopropyl alcohol, just search on the youtube tho

I'm not trying to brag but I have both and I personally prefer the lite but if you want to lay acnh on a big screen or with the joy cons attached I would recommend the switch but if not I definitely recommend the lite I think it's better hope this helped :)

i'm probably late but the switch is definitely better in long term. at some point you'll get a game that works really well with detached joycons but if you're getting it just for animal crossing, get the switch lite ig. it's personal preference really
