Cormac and his sister called into the shop in July 2013 to coincide with the launch of the Tunes in the Church album.
He palys his baritone Lachenal with his sister on viola and the sound is certainly musically bespoke.
While being interviewed, Jack Talty was outside the window making clownish faces to interrupt the flow but he failed miserably .
They play in St. Nicholas' Church in Galway Monday, Wednesday and Friday right through the summer

I never knew there was such a thing as a baritone concertina. And I've never heard trad played on a viola. No wonder it sounded so low. The new generation are doing us proud.

I love, love Irish music played in lower keys... too much screechy, shrill music these days. This has real soul.

so nice! Seems this lower register thing is really taking off. I do have to comment on the apparent image stabilization trick--I really thought I was having a bit of a flashback there, you had me worried!
