Style consistency, maybe. Or maybe they wanted to ensure the effects wouldn't lag the hell out of lower-end devices. It would be bad for the game's longevity if a portion of the player base was suddenly unable to play the game because it was now too taxing on their devices.

No, that would still be really laggy bc idk tsb animates their effects really good with high quality so it would lag out, like metal bat that would LAG. Split second would lag out due to impact frames one tones of other stuff in it and would be super laggy.

For those wondering why the cooler ones werent added is because it was too cool. Yep. The players would lag a lot even if they add a low detail mode because the giant lines of code would still be there.
