Dude the way she laughed when he brought out the candy panties, I'm legit wondering if that was ad-libbed. Will Ferrel was famous for adlibbing weird things during the live show just to make his castmates break, like he would wear a shirt that was way too small or ride on an electric scooter ONLY during the live sketch, NOT for the rehearsals. Cecily Strong is a pro but she was breaking and laughing hard when Will Ferrel was eating the lobster and busting out the panties.

I used to work with a guy who fell for this same scam. Literally paid for nursing school for a girl in the Philippines who was suppose to move to America and marry him after she got her degree. Weeeeeell, funny thing, after graduating she cut off all ties to him. Within days he started getting dozens of come-on's from Filipino women pulling the same stunt and he fell for it again saying "no, this one is different". The scam was so lame some of the girls sent the exact same pic the first one had years before. I couldn't believe how stupid he was.

I once had basically this same conversation with a cab driver taking me to the airport. Guy kept talking about how he was flying his "girlfriend" out from Romania later that month and how excited he was to finally meet her in person. I felt so bad for the poor bastard but I couldn't think of a polite way to tell him he was being scammed.
