Great review. I actually have several of these on my office desk next to my nice ‘tactical’ pens. And I use the G-2 for all my KZfaq channel notes before each video. Thanks for posting this one up.

I upgraded to the Pilot G2 Limited version, same design, but all-metal construction and still has the rubber grip. It still feels and writes like a G2, but feels more balanced, durable and has an elevated look. It's fantastic! It's only $10 and as you said, the refills are so cheap. Please, no one ever tries to steal it.

Nice video. As a lefty I prefer the Pentel Engergel. I find that it dries faster then the G2.

I used them for awhile, the it was on to the uniball, a brief run with papermate inkjoy, discovered the pentel energel needle point for a few months. Then along came zebra pens I had g401 but I didn't like the point(.7mm) and swore it off. Then I found out that you can swap the ink barrel. Now my everyday pen is a zebra sarasa with an f701 clip and a .3mm ink barrel.

I have used that ink pen for many years as well. Even though my work provides me with ink pens.

Hi I have the G-2 Refil in a Lamy Safari just use a spring in the body of the pen and it fits a treat

I used these for the better part of 20 years until I discovered the Tul retractable gel pen. My opinion is that the Tul is much better and will not stop writing until the ink is actually empty. The G2 in my experience will stop writing when there is still ink in the tube. I use the Tul every single day.

My go to pen is zebra 701 with a slight modification where it fits a fisher space ink.... that's a different story. I occasionally use g2 if I have to write all day

I'd be curious to know which nib size you prefer 0.7 mm or 0.5mm? Or perhaps the extra fine .38mm?

Personally I prefer 0.05mm when writing cursive on notebook paper style paper but when I’m writing lets say some kind of form or application style paper I prefer 0.07mm. Just thought I’d mention my preference. What is your preference?

They ARE one of the very few pens that don’t explode. I work outside and going back and force from very cold to very hot causes a lot of pens to explode. I’ve never had a G2 pen explode.
