10:00 The hard-to-depress "feature" is a good thing if you use it as a tactical light for momentary on when you use the light to scan for a threat but you don't want the stay on for too long and give away tour position. So you press momentary on, scan, turn off the light, and move. I used to carry a chubby Surefire, but I´m a civilian, not a LEM or a soldier, so I have to make a compromise and carry something slimmer but with some tactical capability.

I have been carrying the AAA 45lm Streamlight Microstream for 2 years and that thing has even been through the washing machine several times and is still working, so Im sticking with the Streamlight Microstream 250lm rechargeable. For the price ($33.24 Amazon) you cant beat what you are getting in this little gem. The clip style for use with a hat is what sold me on the first one. Almost bought the black one till I found out the coyote has the 250lm momentary on first then you drop to 50lm. The only down side I can see is that the replacement battery ( $18.69 Amazon) is quite expensive. Im quite sure that if I get at least 3 years out of it and the battery dies, I will just buy whatever new shinny Streamlight Microstream they have out!

I own one of these and love it, and just wanted to ‘debunk’ your hard to press issue. I thought that to until I made the realization that it makes it easier to pocket the light without turning it on. You may have mentioned that I haven’t finished yet, but just wanted to let you know that the stuff button has a purpose Edit: also if you use the tip of your thumb it makes it easy to press as it gives leverage. It’s like using a ratchet vs breaker bar for your vehicle

I’ve had this light in my pocket everyday since March 2019 almost a year and the switch breaks in after few months , everyone always says that the switch is hard at first and hard to press but like I said it’ll break in after a like two months and I’m still on my original battery I charge it like twice a week cuz I use it a lot

You can also add card stock chad from a hole punched under the tail-cap rubber to make it easier to depress.

Does that clip fit on or over a belt? Good video and recommendation!

Not really flash light nerd but I've Been carrying olight sr2 baton it's powerful and a great flash light. But on other hand expensive and can't use 1150 lumens all the time nor do I want to loose it for hundred bucks. I'm in the woods early for fishing but 250 lumen also works. I picked up the coyote streamlight love it especially the quick touch option and fits nice in hand. Great flash light also seeing 16 thousand 5 star reviews really made me think I can't go wrong and after using now I know why.

That is not a focus. If it was a focus it would have the reflector slide with it. It's just a cover for the usb.

I’ve never charged my microstream, and I’ve had it for over a year. Now granted, I barely use it, but the point is there is no drainage

The tail switch is too hard bro I didn’t know I need to get a thumb pump to use a flashlight ?? The flashlight is good if you click it once and continue to keep it on not a flashlight to keep turning on

TIP: Soner or later you will lose the clip. I will tell you hay to avoid that: inside the empty spaces of the clip that keep the clip attached to the flashlight, use super glue with baking soda to FIX the dam thing so it won't get lost. And the proprietary battery is a good thing to prevent damaging your LED lens, you can be sure it won't burn the LED before time. That happened to me with a hack that uses rechargeable 3.7V batteries on the original and first model to increase lumen capacity and gives you the convenience of rechargeable batteries, but the cost was to high, after a while, the flashlight became unreliable.

The color doesn't matter. You can program either to start on high or low. I have both black and coyote and love them. Nice video by the way, thanks for taking the time.
@BrewReview4 жыл бұрын
Really? How do you go about programming the non-coyote variants to start on high? Edit: judging by the lack of reply, I’m going to continue assuming this isn’t actually possible.
