I promise that most proposals are quiet, understated and sometimes forgettable. It doesn’t make them less wonderful or important. I was proposed to without a ring at the beginning of a two hour car ride while wearing my pajamas. It was perfect.

might be a hot take but i dont think the number of people you've been with necessarily says whether you know the person youre with now is different/better - its more about what and how much you learned from each relationship. plenty of people have lots of meaningless ones where they learning nothing and some of us have only had one or two but learned a ton from each. its about personal growth more than it is about a number
