Yes, I love that moment where he goes from "happy and excited" to "focused and alert"! It's classic Oliver. There are some good examples of that in this video at 00:45 and 1:02. But I don't think I've ever noticed before just how much his tail changes in that moment--that's such a cool observation! Thanks for sharing!

lol, yes, that is a cute moment--I noticed that, too! He can be quite stubborn sometimes, but he never, ever resists being picked up--except at the beach when he thinks I might be planning to put him down in the water (which I would never do!)

I can’t see how a beagle could ever be treated except with the utmost love and care, like Oliver receives. Handsome boy, nice and fit and trim, smooth shiny coat, and those eyes that could melt Mars’ core.
