Wow! Tay! Great work. Slothy boy is so very cute. Congratulations on a job well done. Well worth having a few caterpillars fall on you. I too noticed the wonderful Indian carving in the shed. That too looks amazing and looking forward to your videos on that. I also noticed a HUGE tree sitting on a skid that obviously you have plans for. That too will be an exciting video. Stay safe. What a fantastic vlog of a unusual creature that most people don’t see or think about! You did a outstanding carving here Tay with true emotion in your voice while carving such a darling sloth. I found it really hard to focus between the carver and the carved though. Both are beautiful! ☺️ Thank goodness I’m subscribed to the most unique chainsaw carving channel on the internet. Always a fantastic surprise when TayMarie uploads a new video! Can’t wait for the next one to come along! Whoo-hoo!!! ☺️❤️

Really love you modification of the Jaw Horse for your clip board! Also really dig your use of the finger belt sander. Getting so many great ideas from your channel. Have you done any competitions yet?

No comps yet, just started carving last August and we unfortunately don’t have many carving events in New England. I plan to a few comps in PA next year and any other ones I can find within a reasonable driving distance! Even PA is a 12 hour drive!

Tay, what kind of wood did you carve on it seems to look a little soft but solid? Yes a very good well done sloth and colors! I wasn’t sure about the swirly tree bark pattern but it turned out great and had to differ from the fur pattern. Keep carving

That was white pine, it will always be white pine unless I state differently in the video! We have so much of it up here and it carves very nicely! Funny you say that about the base because that’s the exact reason I though about the swirly bark, to add some texture contrast as well as some extra character!

There will be a video on him, he is done and at his new how now! I have over 100 hours of footage on that carving so I will probably slowly edit it over the next month between other videos :)
