i have one and they’re lots of work! remember to get a really nice cage as you can’t let them our all the time. The best cage imo is the critter nation cage with two levels, it’s pricey but it’s the best for them :)

I have my beautiful chinchilla for 3 years now, since then we’ve become best friends :) he’s always by my side . It’s a journey to build a trust with an exotic animal but it’s the most amazing thing ever, you need to be very gentle with them and give them lots of love and attention, just like any animal, but when the trust has been built, they will give you all of the love you gave them back ❤️

They are so cute🥺🥺🥺 I have an albino and a dark ebiny (pure black) chinchillas and they cuddle in the corner of their home all the time. Its so cute!

The chins love to be in their cages as long as they have a big enough cage they are fine and safe.

I have a white chinchilla and he is indeed very cute although his right hand is a bit deformed. It doesnt really seem to bother him tho 😌😌

aww he must be very cute! The deformed hand might be from grooming but I'm not entirely sure. As long as he's not in pain and it does not affect his mobility, I think it should be fine. But, I'd keep a close eye, incase anything happens, then you should probably take him to a vet 😊

Why do Chinchillas need dust baths versus regular baths? Just curious because I’m finally in a place when I can adopt a pet and devote time to taking care of and loving it but I want to make sure I understand EVERYTHING about the animal and their needs before I do so…

I am still hoping one of these days someone will have a chinchilla video where one is trying to talk. So far mine is the only one I have seen. She can't say much audibly, their vocal cords aren't built for speech, but she can mimic and communicate with lip reading. I have a few videos on my page, but it's hard to catch her doing it. "Are you making fun of me," is a really good one, but poor video quality.

Aww sorry to hear that! You can try rewarding her with a treat if she comes to you. If you want more bonding methods, I have a video on my channel about chinchilla bonding 😉

Chinchillas are exotic pets, so not many people have them. I currently live in America, and I do find them to be more common as a pet in the states as compared to other countries. :))
