Common Yellowthroat at the lake, hopping around the shore. Cute little dude! He's munching on something in the mud. People feed the ducks so he might have found some leftovers.

It's clever how you show the lake and its surroundings at the end,after showing one of its many secrets:a stunningly beautiful bird..its camouflage is extraordinary,its markings in total harmony with the frame of nature surrounding it.Well done on super footage and an ingenious idea.Peck peck at the thumbs..they've turned green!

What a wonderful little bird in a lovely setting. I used to see them once in a while here in Quebec, but no more do I hear their beautiful song as birds are becoming rarer and rarer, not only Yellowtrhroats, sadly, but almost all the birds. Joan

+happytrails323 I have no idea what is causing the decline of our birds. For instance, a very pretty bird, the Evening Grosbeak used to appear here in Spring and Fall in abundant numbers. Now it, like many other birds seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth along with our butterflies and bees. Climate change, insecticides?? Maybe....Thanks for wondering as I am. Joan
