I’ve heard disgusting comments like that about me and my daughters hair (whom is 3 years old) from my own family members. It’s nothing but self hate. Just because they’re not comfortable with their hair and the skin they’re in they want to reflect their own insecurities on you! I swear some black people are so brainwashed it’s truly sad to see. We have the most powerful yet delicate hair in the world, our coily hair is a connection to God. That’s why it’s so important to know yourself. You and your daughter are absolutely gorgeous! Don’t ever let a miserable lowlife make you feel otherwise.

With respect I think its just teaching her versatility and to have options🤷🏽 But hey, I also don't view everything as self-depracating. Despite what MANY think, we have been using wigs and weaves for centuries before being colonized. The sad part is that for an industry worth billions and supported predominantly by melanin women, our people own next to nothing in it; that's a travesty and not teaching generational wealth. Overall though we have always been expressionists through our hair and its styling. This is no different. Now i would understand if the mama was on here bad mouthing their hair or saying self-abusive words but nothing in her words said anything about using that hair to hide her daughter's beauty. It was simply added for taste👌🏽

Don't mind them Sis, my 5 year old sometimes complains of her white classmate saying her 4C hair is ugly... But I always tell her to reply them back with the same response that theirs is ugly too, I always tell her she is beautiful as she is, am just preparing and Strenghtening her to face the future cos it wouldn't stop now, so we have to face them as and when they come..... I also say EVERYDAY to my daughter that she is gorgeous even in public in front of the older children who annoying her i just ignore and tell her she is a princess she is awesome and she doesn't even feel the bad energy and continue to play and be happy 😊

I have 4c hair so as my daughter, and I really love it when I twist my daughter's hair and start getting compliment like oh! your daughter is on locks, its beautiful. Jasmine is a cute baby with cute hair, don't let some people that's gat no joy get to you, they will continue hating but you're going higher everyday
