I got to work with sea otters among other wildlife while volunteering with a conservation group that worked with the DFG. Me and my crew were eating lunch after tagging some wildlife. This momma otter come ashore with her pup and was presenting her to us. The momma looked real distressed and wanted us to look at her pup. Turns out the little guy had a respiratory infection. We scooped up momma and baby without a fight and took them back to the clinic. A couple weeks later we released them. Clean bill of health. Every time after that she would come close to shore with her pup on her belly. It was her way of saying thank you and hello.

Look at those strong lil dudes just carrying these giant rocks on their belly like it's no big deal. Could you imagine picking up a rock that size proportionate to your body and swimming around with it? We all would sink lol.
