I'd like to theorise that its because Traveler actually have some memories regarding Crimson Moon (We will be reunited video) that he doesn't remember but his body did (As seen as Sumeru quest where Dehya body gets stronger but she doesnt remember repeating the training she did) and since Arlecchino is related to Khaenriah.

This fight really shows a concerning picture for The Traveler. Even after obtaining five of the seven Elements they still stood no chance against the FOURTH Harbinger. It just begs the question what exactly is The Traveler going to do against Capitano let alone The Big Three Harbingers? Because it's made very clear that just obtaining the remaining two elements is just simply not going to cut it.

I really like the fact that Arlecchino shows that she is loyal to those she cares, she could have easily ended Aether right there, and it would be a monumental victory to the fatui, but he trusted her and helped her, so she won't do that to him.

Traveler in the past : One on one with three Harbingers, faced two bigass dragons, able to withstand an Archon. Traveler in 4.6 : Bodied by a 4th rank Harbinger ggez no scope. Traveler in Natlan soon : Get wrecked by 2nd rank Harbinger too easy. Probably steps in Natlan just to get kicked out in 30 minutes. I lost faith in Traveler. 5 elements and easily wrecked by Arlecchino without her even sweating? Yeah bro, you ded in the next region because the next Harbinger is way higher rank. Not metaphorically dead, I mean you're DEAD-dead.

The Traveler didn't use any elements in their fight because they were holding back a ton to not hurt any of the others. Arlecchino realises this and takes the Traveler into her Domain where there are no distractions. They can fight freely there. Unfortunately, the Traveler was STILL not strong enough to even contend with Arlecchino's full power, hence why she is disappointed that we're still too weak for her. Even with full elemental power usage, Traveler would have stood no chance. That is the power of the 4th of the Fatui Harbingers.

While Aether did lose the fight, he did not use elements (Eula is a prime example of Elementless DPS) and is the only who got out of it unscathed, the others had to rest for at least two days and also while the others where trapped by the spikes, he is the only who manage to free himself. Plus Arlecchino has put a bit more effort just to make him stand down. Also Arlecchino touched him

Gonna be honest... The fight looks great as it really showcases the true strength of the 4th harbringer and how close the Top 3 are in god levels. Unfortunately this scene has an Achilles' Heel and once you notice it, the entire fight falls off. Arlecchino may herself say that she was holding back but looking in further, it looks like everyone has holding back.The Siblings weren't even planning on full offensive towards her at all. Freminet literally changes his strike to make it non fatal the last second. Which is totally understandable because they don't actually want to kill her. However for the Traveller though... He was severely holding back and it doesn't make any sense why. For starters he doesn't use a single element... Which I wished he did because at least it would look like he's trying. And before you guys say it wouldn't make difference... Look at how he fights against Scaramouche vs how he fights against Arlecchino. He runs fast like a cheetah, jumped 100 ft in the air and literally tanked Scaramouche slamming him to the ground (I'm pretty sure that arm must weigh a lot). He fights so aggressively against Scaramouche that it makes no sense why he fought grounded and more defensively against Arlecchino. Either way this is a terrible way of showcasing how strong your opponent is by purposely weakening our protagonists. The fight looks like Arlecchino use her vision (and delusion) against 4 visionless fighters, one who is an adventurer while the other is a magician with a parlor trick, which makes Arlecchino less stronger than she should be.

But we can see the result and I wonder if someone helping him against Columbina in Natlan

I feel like traveller faced similar level of difficulty when fighting shogun. So this is the power of 4th harbinger, I can't even picture how strong Capitano ( harbinger 1) is

During the early conversations traveller already had a vague realization that arle wasn't planning on killing anyone hence didn't fight with her 'seriously' (even though outcome would be the same ) It's just a far fetched theory don't mind

Why are people so mad that the traveller didn't use their elemental powers? I get that it is a bit annoying that they didn't and that it would improve this scene if they did. But I feel that people are blowing it out of proportion. For me its more a nitpicky thing

I really like it that they've shown the disparity between a high ranked harbinger and the current traveler. They were said to have god-like strength and it was shown here. Arlecchino wasn't even trying. If they were easily beaten by a traveler with incomplete powers or if he could put up a fight more than this, this shows that they're not even that formidable at all. Though he has been around resonating with different elements, we were not told how much of his powers were gained back. I think traveler also held back since it was not his life that's on the line. Why reveal your cards in front of your enemy unnecessarily? It's not even a fight to death. Though maybe I'm reading too much into it 😆
