I built one similar after watching this video! Works great. I was able to cut up a full sheet of half inch plate into 4.5 inch strips in a few hours and all straight cuts. Thank you for posting this video!

holy crap. amazing idea. ive just begun welding and I HATE cleaning cuts. my dad sits there for long periods cutting with cutoff wheel or cleaning cuts on bench grinder. IMO cut off wheels are inefficient, dangerous, and annoying as fk. so this is going to help me alot.

I do the same with mig welder aswell used an old leed screw of a lathe and wiper moter of a car and variable resistor works a treat

A really novel jig setup. It can be easily built. Explain how rotating the center threaded shaft with the drill advances the torch holder? My only complaint is the shoddy camera work.

Is drill speed a factor in cutting different sheet thicknesses or do you just adjust the O/A and pressure levels of the torch?

Very cool. Often it is the case that one cannot afford to just buy a track burning outfit (or one's employer cannot justify the expense). Nice alternative to cutting by hand/grinding.

Awesome gadget. Lose the music video though. This was the kobe filet mignon on a simple white plate...smothered in mushroom ragu with a pile of kale and avocado dressing served on a carafe of dry ice with a sparkler stuck in the middle of the rainbow grill marks. Sometimes simple is better.

Would of been nice to to see the complete machine, every inch of it, & not have any of the stupid music, I don't know why people think the music is necessary in their videos

only thing i seen was your torch flame was not properly set. the smoke should diminish before you and the oxygen. A lot of the old FAB shops had the same thing in them, but with a hand crank threaded shaft. I guess the whole idea that was new is put a drill on it. good thinking congratulation on adding a drill to a 100 year old concept.
