As someone who grew up in the desert and then lived in Florida for five years...I am both Kayley and Safiya simultaneously haha. I will say that super hot, super dry is not quite the nice “dry heat” that most people think of lol.

Mine grows fast like that as well. I just cut it late February early March for the first time in a year. it went from my collar bone to the middle of my butt. My friend who does my hair was and was not surprise. She knew my hair grows fast but that was the longest I went without a cut from her. Which is why dying it is sad. Never stays in. Dyed it dark green (natural blonde) and I already have a good 3 inch root and I touched it up myself a month after it was dyed.

My favourite parts of Safs wedding were when Tyler and Saf first saw each other and they teared up multiple times. I cried too. And the Franken candle. And when Saf saw herself in the mirror for the first time with the dress and hair. Honestly I loved all of it.

as a hairstylist i started laughing when kayley was cutting saf’s layers cause she obviously couldnt lower her down without ruining the camera framing like we would in the salon and had to reach so high 😭😭

That's so funny you called out the humidity bringing out the waves. I'm from SoCal and all my life I had bone straight hair. I moved to Tennessee like 6 years ago. And suddenly my hair was wavy. Lol

I really liked Safiya's response to the 20 something question. I recall telling someone how to get through college by using the goal system. Each semester or quarter is an achievable short term goal, that when put together ends with the long term goal of graduating.

I LOVED that answer! I’m 25 and once I shifted my mindset from these very long term, high value goals to more achievable short term goals, I felt like my fear and anxiety about the future felt so much more manageable and I was able to focus on doing better at what I was doing at the moment.

I'm Indian and my hair largely varies idk what my type is 🤣... Someday it's super wavy or curly ... Other days it's super straight like a blowed straight style.. then again it might be super pin straight till half of my hair length then beach waves... So I treat it differently depending on what my hair is feeling like each day 🤣
