In this leather craft video I create a custom leather wrapped wireless charging station/organizer for some bedside organization. The station is made from a base of MDF plywood that has been wrapped and molded with soft kip skin leather. The station is divided into three sections, a wireless phone charging area, a wireless watch charging area and a deeper open area for general storage. MATERIALS:
- 1/4” MDF Plywood
- Anker Wireless Charging Pad
- Apple Watch Wireless Charging Puck
- (1mm) Kip Skin Leather (Main outer leather covering)
- (1.5mm) Natural Vegetable Tanned leather (Backing leather)
- (2.5mm) Chrome Tanned Leather (Raised border strips)
- (2.5mm) Natural Vegetable Tanned leather (Strips for storage area side walls)
- Light Brown Fiebings Pro Dye (Main outer leather covering)
- Dark Brown Fiebings Pro Dye (Storage area side wall strips)
- Medium Brown Fiebings Antique Finish (Main outer leather covering)
- RTC Sheridan Resist & Finish (Top Coat)
- Tokonole (For edge burnishing)
- Ecoweld Contact Adhesive
- Beige .6mm Ritza Tiger Thread

Very nice work incorporating wood and leather. You helped me solve a problem I had for a project I want to do. The wooden miter box you used to cut the angle.....exactly what I need but on a somewhat larger scale...thanks for sharing. Keep the videos coming.

Awesome idea and design execution! I’ll definitely have to give that one a try! I have a few pieces of Horween Dublin left that would be perfect for this but I’ll have to test the charger functionality first because I’m afraid 3-4 oz may be too thick without some level of skiving.

Absolutely amazing work. Curious, how long does it take you to edit these videos, and what software do you use for editing? How many hours of footage have you found works for a video of this length?

Thanks. I use Lumafusion on my iPad. I can have over 200 video clips for a single project. Not sure how many hours but it is a good bit.
