The sword is a Regenyei, And it cut beautifully. I got stuck twice, but it was mostly because I was afraid to follow through. The sword is bigger than I am and I didn't want to hit the ground 😅 Go find weapons like this at Purpleheart Armory, link on my channel

I think 80% of my attacks in DS1 was the zweihander+super jump thing. I wasn't much of a duelist, but I had myself some good times.

Doesnt look like a montante at ALL but more like a zweihänder more detailed a flammenschwert which was mainly used by doppelsöldner during the 16-18 centruy and focused on breaking or binding pikes

@@Tovalokodonc Eh... no. It would be a flamberge _if and only if_ it made using German designs. This one is based on Italian designs, thus it is a montante. They are very similar, granted.

@@TovalokodoncFlamberge refers to the wave in the blade. It is not itself a type of weapon, only an element of weapon design. For instance, many rapiers are also flamberged. That doesn't make those rapiers flamberges, because A flamberge is not a thing.

The original Switzerland version always was a greatsword. The Germans took the design and reworked it. So we got the Greatsword, the two handed, the Rapier and the side sword version.

Yea he curved the blade causing him to lose edge alignment, you can see how the end curls to reflect that. Seems he got nervous about following through to avoid the ground

They're all the same thing, with just minor differences in craft/design depending on the country (like the length of the sword or how much of the blade is waved, if waved at all)
