Are thinking about cutting instead of lifting to fit fit 35s on your ZR2?? Then this is the video for you! I review how much cutting is required after over 5,000 miles with 35s on a 1" lift!

I know they are pricy, but I installed the AEV highMark fenders. They look great and solve the rubbing issue. I know lots of people are looking for an install video. Might be a good opportunity for your channel.

I've been subscribed for a while now. Got the 4.56 gears at a discount thanks to you and also picked up the Trifecta tune. Next: 35's, a 4" BDS lift and hopefully I won't have to cut that much.

Excellent demo. Don’t worry I am subscribed for some time, but rarely comment on YT or thumbs up, as I like to quietly lurk.

I'm a fellow zr2 owner and I'm subbed . Recently had mine about 3.5 ft off the ground and no damage. Also it was not intended lol

i would get custom alignment. with all that room in front of front tire adjusting the rake will push the wheel forward which gives more room in back of front fender.

I like it, lowest center of gravity for the gains in height.

Maybe drivers side rear is a little stiffer to compensate for the fuel tank?

I wonder if it has asymmetrical springs on the back, and that's why it lifted a tire one way and not the other. I know GM does that on the big trucks for vibration and harmonics reasons.

I tossed 33" Grabber X3 w no issues! Great pursuit of finding what works. Keep it up. @trail.talk

I had to do the same rear lower fender clearance trimming on my ZR2 with 33's but my wheels are 9" wide with 0offset. I just hit the area with rhino coating to hide the looks lol 😂

What front bumper is that? I have a ZR2 with level kit, so 33’s I shouldn’t even have to trim at all

It’s from lil B’s fabrication, but I’m not sure if they make it anymore. Relentless Fabrication has a very similar one

Drivers side is heavier on these trucks (gas tank, battery, drivers seat, gas door, etc). Stand on the rear passenger side bumper and it will even out. Rear leafs are the same side to side,, but they add shims to the spring stack during assembly to get em closer to level (+-.25"). Other factors like axle wrap need to be watched. Crawl a steep hill with good traction and those rear tires may start eating fender again because the tires will wrap forward a good bit. Remember, if it was easy, everyone would do it. I'd rather be one of the cool kids.

Do you have a 1" lift on the rear as well or just the spacer 1" leveling lift on the front?
@campbelloffroad36603 жыл бұрын
I had an add-a-leaf in the rear which was a 1.5” lift

Is the frame twisting more?

Are those 12.5 wide?

GM does offer a 1.5 inch body lift that should not require you to cut anything on the truck. I am talking to all you fender trimmers.
@campbelloffroad36604 жыл бұрын
I have rock sliders that will not work with a body lift, other than that I haven't heard much negative about the body lift
@neverbored014 жыл бұрын
@@campbelloffroad3660 are you talking about the sliders under the doors? Sorry I am confused.
@campbelloffroad36604 жыл бұрын
Ryan Bourke correct, my rock sliders mount to the frame mounts, not just the body. Much stronger, but not compatible with body lift
