I got the yellow one. It's so good. I absolutely love he bodt roll. Of course, i had to mod mine immediately. The first was converting the battery connector to JST and running it on 2S. It handles the extra voltage like a champ and the servo really wakes up. A 450 mah can just squeeze in. The second mod was replacing the rear wheels to one-way from Tamiya mini4wd. This improved handling so much and this thing turns on a dime. FYI, the original wheel diameter is 3.3cm, the same size as the Cariama Rally ones.

Hey can I ask how do you change the wheels? I've been struggling to take off the hubcaps recently and I can't unscrew the wheels

@@thunderboltfireplane For the rear, you just pull really hard. It's a solid axle so you can worry less of something breaking. Be more careful with the front though because the steering mechanism is all pastic and just pulling it might break something. When you pull the wheel, you have to 'counter pull' the steering mechanism, if you know what I mean. Or, you can remove the hub carrier by disconnecting the ball joints and then remove the wheel afterwards.

I collect 1:18 scale models but I love these 1:16 Chinese RC. I got the WPL d12 mini and just got the fully opening 1:16 highly detailed RC jimmy. I like this one too. If I get it I will modify it to open the doors.

The only one of my WPL RCs that I haven modified is my very first one. It still runs perfectly. Even the original V3 esc is still going. I used liquid electric tape to waterproof it.

Great details on this. Loving the raised letter stickers. I guess I'll raise my hand first and ask what the Wheelbase measurement is in MM. People are going to want to put this on other chassis in order to make it crawl ;), much to the dismay of the original intent. Thanks, Edward.

@@EdwardChew Awww, I just checked both the Mini Z (110MM) and the SCX24 platforms (130MM). At 120MM it's right in the middle of them both. It looks like it would be an odd fit with either of them, unfortunately. Thanks for the link :D

I am surprised there was some assembly required but I guess that lets you feel like you are building a model car a little bit. Very interesting car. I may have to pick this up. Might see some air time.... 😁 These look like those little bots in Star Wars that drive around the Death Star.
