In a series of short skits, Leon Schuster uses candid camera and several disguises to stitch up the general public of South Africa. Such sketches include:
- The jumping telephone.
- The snake in the suitcase (which was used in his later film Mr Bones).
- The Radio Jacaranda broadcast that refuses to do as is wished by the producer.

My late grandfather loved to watch Leon Schuster movies he had most of his tapes. It was our special bond, we'd watch his movies and laugh our heads off... Our favorite was Panic Mechanic. This makes me miss him a lot. ❤️ Thank you for uploading. Im already laughing.

I am a Colombian, and I just came back from South Africa, it was my first time and my friends introduced This amazing comedian to me. After 2 months of living with several South African families, and of course, knowing your history, I really enjoy his brilliant mind and unique sense of humour. His movies make me feel that I'm still there, and I love it! so much laughing :)

I have such fond memories, watching this movie at an old drive in, the intro song playing out on the old speaker box things, in a weird echo, odd memory, yes, but one non the less :) , Leon, comical legend , these old movies are part of south african history!
