Prior to joining Estee Lauder as their Chief Analytics Officer, Sol was the Chief Data & Analytics Officer for Merck, EVP and CDO for Sony Music, and Chief Data & Cognitive officer for Royal Caribbean.

Apparently data science work is 90% data preparation and only 10% on the cool stuff such as running and optimising models. And the management role, as per this talk is 100% treading carefully around office politics. Thank you Sol for the honest ‘insider view’
