Cy Yu I have to warn you: Honkai impact's story is one of the best story made in a gacha, so skipping part 1 would be like commit a cardinal sin or a war crime.

Its such a shame that so many people will never get to experience the amazing story of part 1

Cyyu, you don't need to play Part 1 to understand Part 2, but I'd still highly recommend playing Part 1, *the story of Honkai Impact Third is definitely the biggest selling point of the game.* The first chapter of Part 1 is pretty basic just so the players get a feel for the main trio. The second chapter is where a bunch of long term foreshadowing starts to occur and you meet more of the main cast. *Chapter 3 onward is non-stop action, depression, and insanely good storytelling.* 100% recommend playing it through at least once. *Just be prepared for extreme depression.*

Part 1 and Part 2 are separate crews and stories. That said, I would strongly encourage playing the awesome story of _HI3_ . It's well worth it. Also, the PVs / version trailers are awesome. It's not like the men don't exist, they're just not playable on the main roster (some sections feature them). But Otto Apocalpyse, Welt Yang, Kevin, Su, Kalpas... they certainly exist. What we know is that Helia (the tall one) and Coraline Planck are from Schicksal on Earth, and they're investigating odd energy signatures detected on Mars. Dreamseeker (the Raiden Mei lookalike MC) and possibly Senadina (redhead) are from one bubble world, while Songque (the blonde) is from another. Yes, _HI3_ deals with multiple bubble worlds, at least one of which has a Cocolia who isn't evil. Part 2 also takes place after Part 1, but before APHO, which itself takes place 8 years after the end of Part 1. Combat seems to be a mix of APHO (A Post Honkai Odyssey) gameplay in _HI3_ and _ZZZ_ . And I don't mind a bit. Pretty smooth, and also Senadina's yo-yo seems to be a new weapon type we haven't had before. Old characters can also be used in Part 2, and they'll be able to jump and use a grappling hook like in APHO Chapter 2.

I recommend to anyone who loves MHY Lore/Story to absolutely play part 1. Chapter 1-4 are certainly dated, but everything past that just got progressively better and the high points of the story are a peak I have yet to see HSR or GI surpass.

I think Part2 is gonna be separately playable from part 1 and unfortunately I feel like content creators like Cy who only got introduced to Hoyo via Genshin or HSR, I think they're gonna skip part 1 just cuz it's not the new part I'm hoping he can at least play or watch through the part 1 story chapters only (because it's not open world, there are no side quests that will prevent you from playing the main chapter). Mainly just so he can know a bit more about Welt in HSR.

There are some playable guys. Lot of us are expecting Part 2 to build on that a little since Hoyo is getting away from CN Look up Kevin Kaslana if you wanna see what a true OG Honkai badass is. Dude is the GOAT

Aa a honkai player thats been playing for 4 years i can say the story is definitely worth it and i recommend reading the mangas! It gives a lot of context and it enriches your lore more. Hope cy yu plays hi3! The characters are good and the story is amazing like top tier!! Hope you play it ❤❤

The dark, edgy story is the "positive" and "wholesome" part of Honkai Impact. Tbf, they're already toned down from GGZ (hope is nigh nonexistent in this game, and your best ending is still the bad ending). Genshin or Star Rail new weapons are sword, gun, or something really cool. Honkai Impact latest weapon: Brick.

I think part 1 and 2 could be played separately but i think (atleast for me) it's best if you start at part 1 cause i heard that there are also characters in part 1 that will be in part 2 as well (one of them being Vita? If i remember correctly) and also this new story, some says that it relates to APHO so it's best that you start of at part 1 since there are characters in APHO that also in part1 of the story so you won't be confused especially how the way they do with the game story. You could react to the animations of honkai impact but it only gives out bits of the story, there's also honkai mangas but it mostly covers before the game's story starts, for lore understanding the most recommended by others is to go to humo labs but again it's best to start at part 1 to understand nicely on what's going on in the story. You don't have to worry about the UI and gameplay for part1 since i think they would also revamp and tweak it a bit to be more smoother. If im correct then this update would be on February 2024 and worldwide would be on marh 2024 though im not surefor this intel. Anyways hope this helps 👍

Probably part 2 will be playable without play part 1 but is not completely standalone, and in part 1 you can see the storues of kiana and raiden mei, bronya and seele, yae sakura and many other characters you saw in the other games

Yes, I named the son after Star-Lord 😂 It suited Ryker's space theme (moon/stars/night/cosmos and such). I made this whole light/dark, good/evil, day/night, sun/moon theme between Ryoma and Ryker, so they're two halves of the same coin and are like star crossed lovers since they literally fit so well together like it was fate.

Several of us do be saying to play part one first even though it's not really required because it's great and frankly the cinematics while great do not tell the entire story of the chapters they're associated with and are only a small snippet. Though at the same time since people do reactions to the part 2 trailer and don't do anything related to Honkai Impact 3rd afterwards in-combination of it not being as big as Star Rail and Genshin... sadly gives the impression part one will be entirely ignored even if one could play through all of it before part 2 comes out.

The story in Honkai Impact 3rd was allways my main, how to say? eh, goal? point of interest? I just hope the story is good and that they don´t forget the roots. That the old characters maybe even show up later on. We don´t know how much time pased. I´m a bit nervous. the combat doesn´t look majorly different but some changes are there for sure. The jump dodge for example. It seems they put a bit from A post Honkai Odyssey into Honkai Impact in form from the support character. Other than that it seems prity basic Honkai so far. The graphics are insane compared to the old Honkai Impact. The last few chapters where beautifull from the visuals but the graphic was still low. Honkai 2.0 is supposed to bring Raytracing to Honkai wich is a huge jump for a 7 year old game. About the Trailer, yes the animations and trailers allways do look better than the Honkai game itself that was allways the case. especially from the last few chapters. Mangas to 2.0 would be neet too. ^^

I play it it honestly and it was a lot to take in So m a n y R E d D o T S So much to consume, holy hell there was so much to learn that my brain would explode Did multiple different stories mainly cause I was trying to do the main one, but I didn’t know which was which Though regardless of being lost I enjoyed them. Lots and lots of different skin with different abilities I was so lost on how to build but slowly got jest of it Sadly can’t play anymore cause of storage :(
